Bali' clothes are Resort Fashion. They only perfect in Bali or beaches in Lombok, Labuan Bajo etc. You might feel out of place if you wear them in Jakarta and other big cities.

Taman Anggrek is the 3rd biggest mall in Jakarta (after Summarecon Mall KG and Grand Indonesia) and 5th in Indonesia. While you in jakarta, you should visit bogor city. Might take an hour by train...enjoy the national botanical garden right next to presidential palace. Than go to puncak ,the most famous high and green area in bogor. And not to forget...ton of delicious traditional street food ☺️

Regarding what to wear, yes, Jakarta is more conservative if you walk down the street and go to public places. In closed private places and malls, they are not much different than Bali. However, the difference is in the style of things that you wear. Bali is very much laid back and chill. Whereas Jakarta is more 'fancy' and put together. Don't be surprised if you go to some malls in Central and South Jakarta and see people all dressed up to the nines just to go the malls.

Taman Anggrek is my childhood mall, opened in the 90s with a cool ice rink inside the mall. Sadly, the mall is dying as newer malls with modern design are popping up. Check out Grand Indonesia, Pacific Place, Plaza Indonesia, Plaza Senayan, Senayan City and the latest addition, Ashta District 8, very happening mall with gram'able spot.

Hello Janet.. Taman anggrek is an old mall. And it is a little on smaller side. You should go to the next mall, the one next to Taman Anggrek, called Central Park. Both of them are different though. But if you are looking for fashion, Central Park is more like it.
