Thank you so much. I mix a batch of paints so can’t share volumes. If you’re using paint and pouring medium start with a ratio of 1:3 paint to pouring medium - I hope that helps

I really love the marble swipe technique. Marble creates the combination of the colors and the lines. And the swipe technique making that gorgeous lacing. Have you ever tried that beautiful pearlesent gold as a swiping color. I bet that would turn out beautiful. But the end result to this is stunning!!😊

Hi Mark, you are really inspiring me to try new techniques on my fluid art journey. Up to now I have only used ready mixed pouring paint but as I am starting to create more art I want to start mixing my own paints with pouring medium. My question is do you add the pouring medium to the paint or the paint to the pouring medium?

Thank you so much! That’s really kind of you to say that. Start off with your paint and add your pouring medium to your paint. Mix in slowly and keep going - don’t do it all at once, it’s easier to do a little at a time and that will minimise lumps

The UK doesn’t stock Australian Floetrol either - I get mine shipped direct from Australia from the Wholesale Paint Group. If you’re looking to create cells and lacing, maybe just a paint and water mixture using Amsterdam Titanium White. You could also try something like silicone.

All the time BUT I have to stretch it otherwise when it dries it might crack - but all the time I do something and think “ohh I love it how it is”. Maybe one day I won’t stretch it to see just how it dries and turns out 🙏😊
