@@Saerdna79 Not really. DBSK and Boa were the ones to get famous in Japan and opened Japan to other artists but not really other Asian countries. DBSK and Boa were/are accepted by the Japanese almost like they were Japanese and not really foreign artists because they immersed themselves in Japan by living there and learning Japanese. SuJu was the group that started Hallyu. Everyone was doing the choreo for "Sorry, Sorry" in huge groups, even prisoners. LOL Ah, almost forgot. SuJu was also the first group to really get famous in South America.

They "weren't" big! They still are big! They just released a new album and an MV called "House Party". Super Junior have been in the industry for 15years. They are 2nd generation and are the ones who actually paved the way to kpop all around the world. You should check out their other MVs. They're great.

Shindong is a very common host in Korea (award shows, Tv shows...) I always like his appearances in Knowing Bros (a tv-show where idols/ korean actors/ singers/ dancers appear. The decor of the studio is a classroom, you might have seen some clips in compilations). The "guy in the glasses" is Heechul. He is also part of the show 'Knowing Bros' where Shindong sometimes appears. He is currently dating Momo from Twice.

One of the first kpop songs that I heard and for which the genre caught my attention :') around 2012 approx there was a first wave of Kpop in Latam and Super Junior were the leaders (even before the covid they kept coming and sitting very comfortable here), I remember that Mr Simple sounded on the radios of my country and sometimes they even used it in the background of advertising on TV, it was at the time where if you liked Asian things (kpop, doramas, anime) you were the weirdo of the group.

About the number of members, during Mr Simple there were 10 active members. SuJu has went through some changes to their member lineup over the years. They originally debuted with 12 members then the 13th member joined less than a year later. (The original plan of the group was to change the lineup every year which is why they were actually called Super Junior 05 because they debuted in 2005 and the group name would change every year with the members but they ended up ditching that plan thankfully!) Kibum was the first to leave the group, in 2009. Later in 2009 Kangin went inactive due to a scandal and then tarted his military service in 2010 before coming back to the group in 2012 for Mamacita era. He left the group completely in 2016 Hangeng/Hankyung (a chinese member) left the group in 2010(ish i think) Sungmin got married and left the group in 2017. Over the years they have served their military service at different times and I believe all member have now completed it. If you add in the 2 members (Henry & Zhoumi) from their SuJu-M subunit then, as a whole, they once were 15 members! Since 2009 though I believe they've not had more than 10 members active at one time though and as of now there are only 9 active members left in the group ...It can be a lot to absorb at one time lmao

Suju King of entertainement!!! I think this song was also a advertisement for a samsung's or LG's new tv. I remember seen them on a tv shop in 2011, i was blown away. Like you said, old group with a very long history but such a good group! And their concert are the best!!

Yes Superjunior! Have a fun Journey they are an amazing kpop group with so many good songs! And they are just as amazing outside of singing, so funny and crazy. Its a fun ride trust me. Started listening to them about a year ago and never turned back. Its a little complicated with how many they are, right now officially 9 but I would recommend watching videos about them to understand more. The Guy with glasses is Kim Heechul!

Thanks...for me these are 'the memories' :) I am 64 and a grandma (halmoni) The first Kpop group I heard of way back was Super Junior, when there were 13 plus 2 members who sang with Super Junior M (Chinese,Mandarine). The first song I heard? Sorry, Sorry....so I'm glad to read that you are going to react to it. I discovered Super Junior while roaming through youtube and found a video of CEBU Prison Dancing Inmates doing a routine to the song. (The history of why the inmates dance is also very interesting) I was instantly hooked, and the only words I could understand were sorry, sorry....thankfully....and I went searching! This is one group that I can say, for the most part, was able to reunite after all of their military services were completed. They lost members along the way, which I absolutely blame on their abusive label, SME and some of their obsessive fans (ELFs). Anyway, glad to see you doing this. Seems most reactors have forgotten all about Super Junior. A completely different suggestion by SuJu would be 'Don't Don' ... hard rocking vibe and dark look, great choreo.

Super Junior (SuJu) has one of the best vocal lines from the second generation. Kyuhyun, one of the three main SuJu vocalists, is actually considered the BEST K-POP singer at this time! EXO has one of the best vocal lines from the third generation. Of course, both groups are from SM. SuJu is actually the group that started the Hallyu wave in mainly Asian countries with their hit song, Sorry, Sorry. SuJu initially had 13 members. Now they have 9 members that are officially active. They were the first to have a Chinese member and were also the first group to create sub-units. The members are hilarious and crazy and don't give a SH*T about anything. SJ was a legendary kpop group back then under the SM Ent. label. They even introduced EXO in their concerts. Their reality shows were very chaotic and funny bc members don't try too hard to keep image as an artist and no shy to wear even the worst fashion. Their concerts were quite massive compare to others, known well with 'shappire blue ocean' created by the fans blue sticks. Their most iconic song was 'sorry sorry'.

Sammy, the intro was sang by Yoo Youngjin. He created the song. He's SM's top producer as well. Most of the iconic songs from SM groups were by him. He used to be a singer, especially known for his R&B skills. That's why most SM groups have that R&B feel. Kyuhyun, is considered by voice experts as the best k-pop singer. He's also the youngest. He's the one singing at 9:41 and 13:37. Heechul, the cool guy with the shades at 9:55 and at 14:34 is one of the oldest and dating girl group Twice's Momo now. He's also a regular on the variety show "Knowing Brothers" The guy at 11:54 is the leader, Leeteuk. "Mr. Perfect hair" at 10:10 and 13:48 is Yesung, another one of the three main vocalists. Shindong is hilarious. He was such an incredible dancer that SM accepted him even though he didn't fit the typical k-pop visual and SM is known for incredible visuals. New SM trainees all watch and learn from Shindong's pre-debut dance videos even now. All SuJu songs have signature choreo moves that they're famous for. In this choreo, they guys keep brushing their shoulders and the signature move is the shaking hands because the song is about brushing/shaking off their problems, worries, pressure and relaxing and not taking things so seriously.
