6:01 "Any one with high school shop skills"... you just ruled out 95% of US public schooled kids. The other 5% learned from OJT, family, friends or on their own. Loss of shop classes in the US started in the early 1980s when "going to college" became almost mandatory, was heavily pushed by supposed guidance counselors and many, many local schools sold off their shop equipment for cheap based upon egalitarian dreams. Why not make your spiral tines spiral in the opposite direction to meet in the middle? That way it will turn it and build everything up into a mounding row? Like /////\\\\\\

No, I welded the spider gears to their carrier so there was no differential action, just a right angle drive.

Paul I bought a farm and the previous owner left quite a bit of soil with hydrocarbons (oil slop) I think by turning the soil and adding bugs we can remediate the site. Would like to build a unit similar to yours. Can I get drawings or more detailed info. Thanx Bill

Dust from industrial compost can kill. Do not breath in the dust. Immune compromised people should never go near it. Always water when turning.
