New subscriber here!! Only a few videos in but I really appreciate your content bro! Just got a J Flowers with the standard carbon fiber shaft. I have only been playing for a couple of years. Coming off my old Valhalla i knew there would be a learning curve. Hope to tighten up the game then upgrade J Flower shafts when my game dictates. Take care gentlemen!

Nice waiting on mine as well. I was thinking about the Shaw cue but I decided to go with the cue he is actually using now, the JF20-20.

2:07 That's how I make that shot. Help me out here please. One would think that right english would deflect the ball left thus resulting in a thicker hit. Is the spin effect stronger than the deflection (realized deflection is low).
@ThePoolTryHard14 күн бұрын
Great question. I would argue that deflection has more effect when adding spin. Notice how Tim misses at first. The object ball is thrown way off because he's use to a HIGH Deflection shaft and anticipating the throw. Until I'm proven otherwise it makes sense to me that Deflection has a bigger effect on the throw of the ball. I am beyond willing to hear counter arguments.

@ThePoolTryHard agreed. I am seeing some weird things that are likely the result of my stroke/hit accuracy deficiencies.

SMO is hands down the best shaft I've ever used and I've played 45 years. My game is 2-3 balls better. It's a game changer.

How does the taper compare to the Revo. Im looking for something with a longer taper like a cynergy or Jacoby black. This seems like ot fits the bill for cheaper and less deflection. Unfortunately, no reseller's have them so it's a "you chalk it you buy it," return policy unfortunately.

@@ThePoolTryHard They used to be real when they played with wood. Now they're sell outs. Shaw has never been the same after going to the dark side (carbon). Always better with wood.

What an amazing video, but I have so many questions. I’ve been playing for about six months and am completely hooked. I bought a Viking Valhalla and it’s a great cue but I’m looking for a new cue. Specifically, I want a low deflection carbon fiber and am willing to spend some serious bucks. Any suggestions? I know that’s a loaded question but figured I might as well ask like a top 3 cues you would suggest. Thanks. Also I really really appreciate your honesty about it taking time to adjust to new cue.
@carloscheca978010 күн бұрын
Before you go and and drop serious cash on a new cue, take some shots with different cues because some of these low deflection carbon shafts only come in certain diameters, for example, 11.8, 12.2, 12.5, 12.4, and 12.9. With that being said and speaking from experience you may potentially drop some serious cash on a cue that doesn't even feel comfortable in your hands. Just something to think about.
