Julia stands out to me. Versatility and more dynamic. I think it would be better in a mix. Live or otherwise. I have a CE-2 but never used it on my bass. Which now I intend to do. I’m playing bass in a band now and recently picked up an Ampeg liquifier, which is pretty sweet. But that Julia is calling my wallet.

Hey! 1- Record a clean bass track 2- Edit/Loop to manipulate the pedals easily 3- Send to the JCR reamp box via a output 3 (or any out not taken by your headphones or speakers). You don't need to hear the dry track. The JCR has onboard options to shape your sound. 4- Send the reamped signal back to the interface. You might need to realign the wet track, compared to the dry track.

How do these compare to the Boss Bass Chorus or other chorus pedals where you can filter low end out of the modulation? Do you find you loose low end with these?

I haven’t tried a lot of chorus pedals. I can tell you that I ended up selling the CE-2 because it was too boomy on stage. The Julia doesn’t filter the low frequencies but bringing back the dry signal a bit usually does the trick and adds more focus to the bass tone.

Do you think Waza brought update on the low end cut? Or still same problem? I test the Julianna and got an hissy noise floor when Julianna is engaged, do you?

@@jeandavidablehorus, unless it has an EQ control on board. Shouldn’t be altering EQ in any way. Unless it’s a real shitty cheap chorus. I have the CE-2 waza and I don’t think there’s any low-end loss. Chorus can get muddy on the bottom end if you crank it, but most of the time you’ll probably do something more mild in a band context. Sting and Andy Rourke used the Ce-2 a lot, and that alone is enough for me.

Sorry but in my opinion it’s not close. The CE-2 sounds way better. Coloring the original tone rather than turning the tone completely into something else. Just my opinion.

It’s an awesome chorus pedal, but I felt like the bass was lost in a live mix. That’s the nice thing about the Julia, it’s brighter and there’s a tiny bit of volume boost when turn it on. But yeah, the ce2 is a classic!
