@gordyn52923 жыл бұрын
@Davit M I stick to a three week meal rotation, one different meal everyday. Makes planning and shopping much simpler and no waste. I can plan meals three weeks ahead and shop one week ahead. I have one very important big salad once a week (can provide ingredients if desired) and I alternate nights with an all-in-one meal like a curry with cauliflower pilau rice, and the next night meat, side of vegetables (collard greens, cauliflower,etc) and maybe and omelette or soup. Highly recommend @Headbanger’s Kitchen for meals and @Ketoserts for desserts. Of course @Keto Recipes are required viewing too, great to start you off. One massive piece of advice if I may, don’t try to copy the food you would have normally eaten, with low-carb substitutes, they are usually a lot of work and may not reach the standard you’ve become accustomed to. Although I will say that Dr.Berg’s pizza is the best, the base is out of this world, far tastier than standard! This way of life does require you be able to cook! There is a massive amount of foods you CAN eat so you’ll not be stuck.

@@gordyn5292 thanks for your feedback, I'm doing OMAD for a month now, doing keto is a bit hard for me since my culture is basically carbs focus and meat and cheese is expensive, but I'm doing low carb for sure. When is the time you eat your meal ? I eat mine like 3 or 4 hours before I sleep at night. Do you count calories or eat till you feel full ? What makes most of your meal ? Protein or fats ? Thanks again, any details on your plans + results will be very appreciated. God bless
@gordyn52923 жыл бұрын
@@PastelKenshi Keto can be very difficult, I certainly couldn’t do it without at least intermittent fasting. I went Keto at the very start, moved up to low-carb and then my meals evolved and found I didn’t want the extra carbs and I also managed to cut my meal sizes so have inadvertently ended up back on Keto anyway. I prefer not to label myself Keto, just that the diet I eat fails into that because my carbs are below 20g per day and while I feel fantastic, I’ll stick to this. OMAD allows me to concentrate on that one meal, requiring all the nutrients I need, remembering also that protein and fat are more satiating than carbs. Also, eating a clean whole-food diet means having to cut the carbs because let’s face it, processed food is all carbs and hidden extras we really don’t need. Good luck with everything and if you need any help just let me know here.

@@gordyn5292 thanks again for your feedback and help, as a muslim we're used to OMADat least a month every year (Ramadan) since we start learning that by 10 years old and actually practice it by puberty, it does have a lot of benefits and it's the best way to boost GH and detox our bodies, it can be a bit hard for people who are used to eat 3 meals a day and snacking but the stomach does shrink and get used to it, and as you said it does feel better to focus on just one meal and make it as nutritious as possible, I recommend using a lot of spices and seeds (coriander powder, cumin, tumeric, paprika, dried herbs, dried ginger) soaked fenugreek on salad or soups or eggs is a miracle food, all are dense rich with minerals and vitamins which means more benefits for less food "weight" consumed. My fear my friend is that I'm afraid I've plateaued my metabolism or that I will end up plateauing it, I look skinny fat and this belly doesn't wanna go 😂 like I'm 182cm tall and my weight is kinda stuck at 86-82kg and my biggest issue is the belly and love handles so that brings me to these questions: do you think you've hit a plateau ? If so did you break it or not bothered ? Are there any ways to shake up metabolism and keep losing weight while maintaining OMAD and "keto" 7 days a week ? Or is it better to do OMAD certain days and maybe a couple days or 3 change it and do 2 meals a day ?

Btw, some sugars (like beta glucans) are incredibly good and essential for health. All the refined sugars are absolute poisen, especially in the presence of good sodium and good saturated fats(essential for nerve health, eg myelin sheath which encapsulates axon's nerve energy). Not a surprise for me. Low fat diet guideline was a tremendous mistake in the early '80s. The whole food industry is screwed up. What everybody should avoid is: fructose load 365days a year. There's a good point of fructose, once a year, at the end of summer. Harvest time. Fructose in fruits, with the right amount of fibre, for a couple of weeks. That's it. No more fructose during the year. Instead of that, I recommend organic eggs every day. And healthy sunlight.

@cutabove90463 жыл бұрын
You don't need a high carb vegan diet to compare. All you need to do is look at China and Japan. They are both high carb. I don't see a problem with libido or for that matter any other symptoms mentioned in those countries. In fact Japan has the highest longevity of any country in the world. And really the same goes for the rest of the world with great longevity. They are all high carb populations. I don't see one population that is keto. And keto just like vegan doesn't have any populations that have made it on these diets long term. There must be a reason why? They are just unsustainable for long term health.
@ThePinkBinks3 жыл бұрын
Cutabove That’s inaccurate. Japan does have a libido/sexual health problem that’s getting worse along with mental health in general. Many African tribes are long lived on a keto diet but no one calls it keto. They don’t have modern health care though so you can’t do a direct comparison.

@@healthyketoexperiment7964 yes, I’m following him and actually keep losing weight and I lost 2 more kilos than I wrote. I think I’m imagine like I’m eating like so much but when I eat avocado, egg, paprika and some nuts like macadamia or pecan then eating something like sweet not so much hurting as I think. 1-1/2 meal 6/18 hr is good and not loosing control but my mind is a huge think. I don’t want to develop eating disorder for my self just I want to eat with mind.

Not dumb at all! You may want to write your question on Dr Berg's website! Or ask him on his friday show.
