Your diatribe at the end is so true. I drive a relatively nice car and you get lots of thumbs up but I also get lots of people calling names and shouting. Most of these people don't stop to even ask, I live in a smaller house than them! I just love cars and that's where my money goes...

14:27 They seemed fine, then you showed the cracks on the tread and the d.o.b. Thanks for teaching about the tire d.o.b.👍🏽 I had to buy a new tire Friday, because driving on a dark on ramp with a new huge pot hole damaged too much one sidewall.

I am fortunate to have found an 03 with less than 20K miles and an oem hardtop, also owned by a "mature" one owner. The first thing I did was to get the tires replaced with some good tires and get it aligned. Those two things made a huge difference in the handling. Also, its good to touch all those alignment bolts and nuts and make sure the are not all frozen up. Great car.

Hi Guys. I really enjoy to watch your channel and I don't get it why there are not much more subscribers. I think you do it the right way. You treat your customers car the way every mechanic should treat a car. The way your are mind works is more than rare! I'm a S2000 owner and its really nice to see, how you should do things the right way. But this creates also a malaise inside of me. 😃 I fell like there is no one, that could do it the way George and you would do it. The next issue is that you are to far away to let you do the work . The result is I feel like i'm not giving all the love to my S2k it deserves. ( but I try hard 😵) .. my idea is you move back to England so all the european S2K owners can benefit form your expertise. 😉 Keep up the good work it's a pleasure to watch !!! Greetings form Germany

Very nice car. It's crazy how fast the clutch fluid turns dark. I've got 10,000 miles on my fluid with a new OEM Honda hose from reservoir to master and it's already turning dark. Time for a flush!
@LHTPerformance4 жыл бұрын
MODeration nXS I would flush it it. I’ve seen some cars come back after 5000 miles after we’ve flushed and it’s jet black. After a second time it tends to be better.

I 've read from some guy he broke his ap2 retainers also and destroyed the engine. It's important to drive normally. If you over rev it you still gonna ruin it
@kazm4g4 жыл бұрын
It's a piece of mind thing. However,. My S2000 mechanic said not to bother when I mentioned putting AP2 retainers on my AP1, for the same reason you've mentioned here.
@LHTPerformance4 жыл бұрын
If you see how thin the AP1 retainers are on the edge you can see where it’s the weakest. I’ve had 2 separate failed retainers and both were AP1. We see more S2000s than most.
@kazm4g4 жыл бұрын
@@LHTPerformance John, fair enough. But did they just fail or was it because of driver error or over rev?

Zach Heath Without knowing they history, I don’t know. I would trust the AP2 retainer to 9500rpm with boost.

Is there an advantage , service life-wise , to up-grading to titanium ?

How often do you recommend changing the rear differential fluid? I’ve gotten conflicting numbers. Great channel!
@LHTPerformance4 жыл бұрын
C. Y. Based on what we’ve seen, the dealerships would say never. Lol. I’m extra ocd and like an oil change, it’s pretty cheap. Normal daily driving I would do every 25-30k. For road course I would do it after each event.

6-8 years max... tires are very dangerous past that.

For sure! And in extreme climates sometimes 5 years and the rubber loses its traction. Some people just hate having good tires but I love buying fresh rubber.
