Thank you for your comment. Ideally, the low-pass filter in the diagram passes frequencies up to its cut-off frequency. The High pass filter passes frequencies higher than its cut-off frequencies. The frequency overlap between the filters, is where signals pass through both filters. Therefore it makes the circuit a band-pass filter, with a bandwidth of the high-pass minus the low pass cutoff frequencies.
