To correct the wrongly triangulated areas, can just select the edge, right click > 'Rotate Edge CW'

This was great for my game, I also added detail by cutting cracks with the knife tool, Insetting the faces slightly then scaling the faces slightly and used a slightly darker color on the UV. Looks amazing! Thanks for the tutorial.

also a good idea to keep quad topology, if so, you can start with that base shape and apply the same fundamentals for making slightly higher poly rocks with sub D and other fun modifiers!

I raise you rocks in 5 seconds: Subdivide > smoothness 1 > adjust fractal and seed.

Nah, back in the days I messed with 3d, triangles were a no-no. Faces with more than 4 vertices were devil worshipping as well...
