The 25mw transmitter caught me out because I flew across several cornfields away from me until the image just started to get a little scratchy, then 180'd to fly back and with the antenna at the back of the quad I lost image completely and had to ditch. Fortunately I had a tracker. I do now also position my antennas more centrally.

+Next Lipo Please MiniQuad Racer I've had the same happen to me with control on a plane. A dodgy receiver caught me out and the bad antenna placement did not help and I made confetti out of my wing.

Ouch. I'd have enough confetti to open a bridal shop if I flew planes.

I wonder what your range would have been in same situation with a VAS pepperbox VRx antenna pointed out there.

Hi mate , do you happen to now if you can put the new receiver in the Fatshark Teleporter goggles ? Great to see you back doing quality videos again bud .

+Scott Thompson I think it is only the dominators that have the modular door on the front. No door, then not easily anyway.

What would you say about this module FS-GT3 in opposition to the Frysky module for use with a FS TH9X? Both have Telemetry. Does the Frysky module work with stock Flysky receivers?
@Rchacker9 жыл бұрын
+owenkilleen I cannot say if it is better without trying it out. I doubt they will be compatible. I did my homework a while back and decided FrSky was the way to go for 2.4GHz.

I'm just curious how/what gps software you used to track here, ie. on pc?
@Rchacker9 жыл бұрын
+owenkilleen I uploaded my tracklogs from my garmin vista HCx into google earth pro.
@owenkilleen9 жыл бұрын
and, ...so basically, any gps module you have on a quadcopter, that can create logs, can be uploaded?
@Rchacker9 жыл бұрын
+owenkilleen have not done that myself. Google earth with import gpx files, which is pretty standard log file format. looks like cleanflight blackbox will not do it. but i am sure APM or taulabs would be set up for it or at least have a converter somewhere.
@JohnOCFII9 жыл бұрын
+RCHacker Actually, Cleanflight Blackbox will record GPS information and export it in a format readable by Google Earth. Of course, you'll need a GPS configured to communicate to the flight controller in Cleanflight. github.com/cleanflight/blackbox-tools

+John O'Shaughnessy Nice, I missed that paragraph, thanks. If you have GPS blackbox_decode will spit out a gpx file automatically. I've got a blackbox capable board on the way looking forward to messing with it.
