This behavior isn’t rare. I’ve met several managers who were fired due to toxic workplace behavior. They often end up as low level government managers and administrators where they continue and sometimes become even more intolerable. Unfortunately, local and state government tends to move these people to other departments rather than deal with the issue.

I believe he actually thought he could be so persuasive that he would be found not guilty. Robert "Wow I am so super clever using this disguise" Also Robert "I am just going to drive around the victims house a few times in my wifes rare (ish) vehicle.." "and...let me cut up all the evidence and just put it here where anyone can find it."

I worked in Government offices for 24 years. Yes, it really sucks and Yes, there are plenty of bad bosses. However, I will say that cutting someones pay is very, very rare because it escalates the drama ten fold. But nope, Robert Telles cut their pay and they were never going to tolerate that.

Robert's clearly guilty. Speaking of narcissists, had to laugh when another KZbinr covering M Markel said "I'm no Dr Grande, but I'm confident Meghan is a complete narcissist" 😂

Right, and the world’s not round. Dr G has already covered her narcissism. Sorry.

@@Garden366 even though it is quite likely that she is, you need to remember that an analysis like this is very much fallible.... it's an informed opinion, but still an opinion and opinions never are 100% reliably objective fact

Thanks to KZbin psychologist channels, "narcissist" is the trending insult these days. Narcissists rank low introspection and empathy, and therefore have no inhibitions parroting that word out to be abusive. It's the modern-day equivalent to being deemed a "witch" in colonial times.

I only discovered this story recently, and when I saw Dr. Grande had covered it, I came here immediately. I was not disappointed. Excellent work, as usual, Dr. Grande! The body camera footage of Telles' arrest shows his victim-playing tendencies in stark detail. Telles not only said "You're only trying to take me down because I'm a public official"; he said it incessantly. Some of that was certainly due to the copious quantities of alcohol he must have consumed, but his attempts to portray himself as both important and victimized by his jealous enemies were on bold display. More recently, at his court appearances related to the murder charge, he plays the same cards, saying "You're all just trying to make me look bad." Sorry buddy, you are doing fine by that on your own; you don't need any help looking bad. One final note: apparently, his name is pronounced "TAY-ess," which is the Spanish pronunciation, as in "caballero" (cah-bah-YAIR-oh). Not that it matters much, but if you hear someone (e.g., his wife) say "Tay-ess", that's why.

What you said about vulnerable narcissism in your final thoughts was pretty surprising! Another great video, Dr. Grande! Loved the "....and would not even share leftover cake with them." 😅
