I'm so glad you mentioned that Golden hires the elderly and handicapped! I am an older adult who's survived a stroke with minimal weakness on my right side and I'm always on the lookout for companies that would hire me. While there aren't any in my area, I'm glad that Golden realizes the worth of EVERY individual. I came over from Gayle Agostinelli's channel, BTW, and I think your papers are fantastic.

THANK YOU for explaining why a certain paper will or will not work with techniques. So many times we novices blunder on, waste materials and paints while not achieving good results. Love this over the stencil effect, WOWO!!

Beautiful technique. Thanks for sharing. Speaking of deli paper, I ordered Dixie all purpose deli paper from Sam’s. It was a very good price and I got 1000 sheets. The bonus is it comes in a sturdy box , easy to store, and you pull the sheets out like Kleenex tissues are pulled from the box. Before when I bought tissue paper I had to unfold it and cut it myself to fit the gelli plate. Another bonus is that it is thinner and there is no halo effect when you use it in collage.

That’s wonderful! I do like using it as well for that same purpose.

I loved learning about Golden's employees. I've never tried this technique, but I sure will. Something I do love doing is under my roll off paper, I have a stencil and using deli paper over the top. So when I roll off my braver, I’m creating more fun paper. A lot of those prints become envelopes. 🙂
@ElizabethStHilaire2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Rolling off the brayer over a stencil works nicely as well. Do you make envelopes out of deli paper? I think that that would be kind of thin. But the idea of making envelopes out of the other papers is awesome!

For the bottom layer of paint, do you have to scrape only in one direction? Can you go sideways as well as down on the same piece? This is very inspiring!

Another fabulous tutorial for me to try. I have been following you for quite a while and have learned so much. Would love for you to answer a query. I just purchased a tub of Impasto. Just tested it for a short time and I am loving it. My question: Are modeling/molding pastes and impasto interchangeable--the same? Will they give similar effects? Thanks, Elizabeth--my daughter's middle name.
@ElizabethStHilaire2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eileen! I am trained by Golden Paints and all of their molding pastes and gels are acrylic based and will work well together. They ALL have different effects so your best bet is to try them and experiment to see what you like. :)

It is not exactly the waxed paper that comes on a roll, it is the paper that they wrap sandwiches in here in the US It is similar to waxed paper but it is what they called “dry waxed” so it is less slick and the paper is thinner. I wonder if you could order it on Amazon?
