@@gabrielchee8470 I think the reason they couldn't use it in Gen 8 was because Home doesn't have the Pokemon XD exclusive moves as legal, since it's been added to their TM lists they should get to keep it now. Swallot used to have a mini-niche in gen 9 OU. Back when the gen 9 OU was new there were plenty of pokemon that relied on draining moves in order to stay healthy. Anihilape and palafin used drain punch. Amoongus used giga drain and occassionally leech seed. And hatterene used drain kiss. Swallot was the only pokemon with the liquid ooze ability meaning that it had a form of passive damage against them. Right now it is completely unusable.

Any other non-legendary users have only got it after gen 5, tho i do understand. If there were any more than just one mon for each weather, it wouldnt necessarily create variety but instead one mon would be more consistent or the favorite over the other. And you can kinda tell considering the newest weather setters Torkoal and Pelipper have a lot more uses and really outshine Ninetailes and Abomasnow, and Alolan Ninetales seems to outshine Abomasnow
