Sonic's sheer speed would've allowed a player to get in on Little Mac and make him lose KO since he can't hold it after a few seconds. After that, even if he would've lost, approaching Little Mac would've been a wiser option. Forcing him to chase you (and opting not to sneak in an attack that would cause Mac to stumble and lose KO) was a poor choice. It only led to the Mac player being able to read the fleeing Sonic's escape pattern and catch him accordingly.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Pac-Man. The moveset is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the neutral will go over a typical player's head. There's also Pac-Man's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his play-style- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The mains understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of his play-style, to realise that it's not just difficult- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who really think Pac-Man is low-tier truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Pac-Man's signature tool, the Spaceship from "Galaga," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Masahiro Sakurai's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
