Looks real good but I would like to have one with leaving the fender on (sometimes I ride in rain too). A motorcycle mechanic told me that the axle bolt (at 11:05) should be tightened when the bike is removed from the lifter.

Yea I bought these and installed on my 2019 883 iron They were crooked and grinded into my fork caps. End result my shocks bound up Snd would not move. I can see grind marks on inside of shrouds And sides of fork caps

Logan Liedtke yes when hitting large bumps the fender could get damaged by the shrouds or vise versa.

When installing axle, I would think you should tighten the axle nut first and then tighten the pinch bolts. You did the opposite by tightening the pinch bolts, then tightening the axle nut. Then you loosened the pinch bolts and then retighten them. I'm a bit confused?? Also, the axle nut being a critical fastener should you use Loctite ? Maybe explain this? Thanks. Not tryin to be an asshole, just my fmi.

when you do it the way he shows you in the video, it lets the axle find the happy place and center it self. And do not use loctite on the axle... use proper torque spec recommended in your service manual, it will stay tight :) all good man!

androz8362 no sorry, if you keep the fender on with shrouds you run the risk of denting either the fender or shrouds, also can cause a flat if dent or bending of the fender is harsh from large bump etc.. saftey first...

You need to remove the front fender because the shrouds don't move at all, they are locked on top portion of your trees. but your lower legs do how ever move all the time sliding up and down on your tubes. So for instance if you hit a huge bump it could throw your lower legs upward fully on the tubes (your front fender is attached to the lower legs btw), it could then pinch and or crunch the shrouds and lock up the front end from giving you the proper suspension and could end up very dangerous if you hit another bump etc.

Michael Braband they are Pangea Streamliner bars. Sku 002625 on our site. There is progressive shocks and a biltwell Hb seat Sku 002756. Sissy bar is custom made. It also Has a BCM /Kim Boyle air cleaner.

I just installed these on my 2014 iron & the fender can’t be used with these installed. The fender contacts the shrouds when the suspension compresses only like 3/4 of an inch

They are made year specific for sportsters sorry no, not with out modification and fabrication. these are also only made for 39mm

If you have 39mm or 35mm narrow glide tubes these should work, the tabs maybe different on earlier year's so you may have to do some fab work to make them work correctly for 35mm. Stated above in the description, 35mm fit 81 and up. and 39mm fits narrow glide for big twin and sportsters.

yes that is a stuck float, its a common thing, if you don't have time to clean it right away, make sure to shut of your petcock when parking to not allow more overflow till you can clean it out. Also by taking a rubber mallet or plastic end of a screwdriver and tapping the bottom portion of the carb sometimes it will free the float from being stuck.
