It`s because they are unstable. Take for example guys who cold presses flax or hemp or any other seeds. You wont hear from them that shelf life is 1 year or more. For flax I`ve heard 1 week max, for hemp - 1 month, but the faster you eat it, the better. Eat right after you pressed it would be just perfect. Only then it will give benefit, not poison you when becoming rancid. I gave up on that. Now I`m just crushing little amount of flax before consuming it. Yeah, can get that fancy machine, but it takes up space. As for refined oils - it`s simply not food. Completely dead and stripped of life.

Since the mid 90's I rarely consume grains or seed oils especially corn, soy, sunflower, safflower, canola, flax. At restaurants I am sure from time to time, mainly from salad dressings. But still, most people I know or ask will answer that they think taking sunflower oil is good for them. Half the food for sale at Wholes Foods is chock full of them and advertised as essential for health.

Here's a worse fact: if the animals are feed soybeans or seed oils in their feed to fatten them up faster, they have that omega-6 in their flesh, and when we eat them (say chicken), we get all that omega-6 fat! Yikes! Makes a case for free-range chicken, grass-fed beef, wild caught fish.

My twin brother and I are almost solely carnivore. He have been this way for over 4 years now and we also cut out all harmful fats. We are very healthy and have lost a lot of weight. After my first year, I felt like I was 20 years old again. I am 44 today. Sadly, my brother, father and sister had died before we could introduce them to a healthier lifestyle of food. Even when my mother died a few years ago, we tried to get her to change, but it was with reluctance and also too late. The decades of misinformation that my family had learned and trusted is what helped kill them. Hopefully you all have the chance to heed this warning to your family before it is too late. It is difficult to convince anybody that you have more knowledge on nutrition than their own doctor, but perhaps take baby steps first, like convincing them to watch this video and others like it that educate them on not only healthy eating habits, but how and why we were duped in the first place.
