Made my own adapter, I purchased a 2 foot long 1.5" inch PVC pipe, cut it down the middle now I have two half's . Screwed and counter sunk them onto 3 pieces of ripped 2x4 to 7/8", the PVC is 1/8" thick, it measures 1" thick when complete the same measurement of the bracket on the right side of the Dyna. I did this 3 times, the frame is 1.5" so the PVC fit perfectly. Costed me $4.00 to make as I had the lumber lying around,

The steel fin is still on the frame in 2011, 2012 and probably later. It protects the sump and transmissoin case. Part number is 9895-99 as mentioned but they are hard to find.

I have a 2004 Dyna I bought new - I purchased the LIFT kit works great still saving for the table lift .

I have a o2 Dyna and the part that goes over the shark fin in this kit does not fit. The gap on the kit is way too big to be still and stay in place ?

I have the same 2011 wide glide & it’s to low but I use a swing arm lift then put my kick stand up & slide the jack under & its perfectly level

@herosorvillans is your bike lowered? I have a 10 Wide Glide and have lowered the rear. Can't get a jack under it if the rear tire isn't sitting on a piece of 2×6.

Hey Doc. Would it be hard on the rubber engine mounts if I used theses blocks and a lift for winter storage. Manual says to lift weight off tires for seasonal storage. Seems like it would place stress on engine mounts with weight of rear tire and swing arm

Lift the Dyna by the lower frame rail carefully. No stress on front or rear suspension or engine….Doc

Great video Dr Harley, as always.... HD do a kit for the Dyna as you mentioned 98965-99 which is £32 here in the UK and a kit for softails 94675-99 at £15 which seems a bit steep but thats HD for ya..good luck guys..

I have the screw jack lift for that particular bike with the adapters you show. Now, I want to change out my jiffy stand to a shorter one to accommodate lowering my bike. Will any of that stuff get in the way so I can't change the JS out? Thanks for any replies.

I have not tried that. It would be very tight. If you do not have a way to secure the front wheel and jack up the rear, maybe you could invite a group of strong friends over to hold bike leaned over while you remove and install?...Doc

Yes and no. Your model does not have the metal tang. I wish the kit came with four tall spacers and the thin. Then it would fit many more years. You would only be able to use two of the tall adapters. Or you could purchase two kits and have four with extras. Thanks ~ Doc

Many items for the Dyna have left since it’s gone. Check out your local Home Depot or Lowe’s for scrap wood that can substitute…..Doc

Throw the HD jack and adapters in the trash, been there; dangerous. Get and modify a Harbor Freight m/c jack and modify it. Cut the center bar and rebolt the lift pads to the outside. The distance needs to 18".

I have an 05 Dyna Wide Glide and the small adapter doesn’t stay like you show. Also with the adapters on I can’t get my jack under and it’s 4.75” at lowest I just ordered an OTC jack that has a 3.5” minimum lift and hopefully it will get under. What is the normal clearance needed on my 05 Dyna Wide Glide? I’m wondering if it was lowered as I bought it used from dealer some time ago.

Thanks! I watched your video of where to put the adapters and ths being a third jack my Black Widow at 4.75" was too high so i bought an OTC jack with a minium lift of 3.5" and i stall had a hard time even though i'm not centered on the adapters i ended up hitting my jffy stand but luckily the platform rails are 17" long so i was able to get it up in air. I have a question i'm atempting to put an 09 Fatboy wheel and fender on my 05 Dyna Wide Glide and with the caliper mounted the wheel is almost 1/2" off center towards the caliper so can you give me some pointers on making sure my wheel is in alignment before i add 2 spacers on each side since i bought a 14 piece spaver kit were the caliper mounts i'm not sure if the placement needs to go farther over? I'm going to put the 21' tire back on and get those measurements since i forgot when i took it off and keeping all original parts incase i don't like the feel when i'm done with my project. @@Sunflower1031 The lift adapter is currently (Oct 2, 2020) $25.95 on harley-davidson's website. If omitting a block of wood keeps the price from being $49.95 or above, I'll buy my own block of wood and pocket the savings.

I have to push bike up on 2x4s and jiffy stand to get it high enough to put jack under bike. They are better than blocking frame.
