lol, there's another sound that comes and goes - kinda crackle, crackle, like they're changing pages on the piano part that's in a plastic binder or something.

I appreciate lyrical writting even in a modernist approach. Though this is not entirely humable or memorable, it yields a sense of continuity and expressivity worth noting.

man the second movement is actually incredible. not to discredit the whole thing, but the entire thing is just such a roller coaster (the second mvmt is when it gets WILD af)

It’s just representation of a brilliant and epic piece of music. The dialogue here is as if we were talking about the correct interpretation of “Scripture”. We have here is a flamboyant performance, well executed, well thought out emotionally sensitive

I used to have a Lowell Lieberman CD of a piece for choir and orchestra; I felt it was a bit too polyphonically thin and didn't listen to it that much as a result. There are parts of this piece too that are a little minimal, but then other parts in it are very nice. I just feel there's not much interaction between the piano and flute; like they are both saying things in an organized fashion but not talking to each other. Maybe this guy has listened to too much classical minimalism or his teachers were of that school or something?
