The Utah adventures continue with Todd Hata and I driving up from Kanab to Escalante and fitting in a 3 hour hike before the sun went down. Lower Calf Creek Falls is one of the most scenic hikes I've ever done, and I've done a lot of hikes. 3 miles of incredible canyon walls and rock formations, not to mention the pictographs you can see from centuries past. Lower Calf Creek Falls is part of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and the trailhead is very easy to get drive to. Make this one of your stops in Utah, for sure.

Ive actually been on this exact hike before and was able to swim.under the waterfall, the water was absolutely freezing and the current was strong as hell. We went with a group from school during the summer and it's a memory of a life time for me. Love to see others enjoying it! :)

Great hike, seemed a bit long but worth it when we got to the waterfall, even though we weren’t allowed to poop, haha!

was there sept 2019 waited 2 hours to get a parking spot but is was worth the wait. many hikers in swim trunks.. lots of dogs runinng after frisbees, and a small wedding taking place to the far right side. reminded me of lake michigan/chicago beaches in the summertime spent an hour sitting and eating lunch enjoying the sounds and people watching. got back to the car after 4 hours. wife wasn't too pleased i was gone that long she forgave me after she saw the videos and pictures i took one of the many highlights on that Utah trip

Since I filmed this in February, not a lot of people are out there. Nice to have nature all to ourselves though.

Man, Utah has beautiful places. That water looked so cool and I'm sure the water was freezing. Did either one of you try drinking the water?
@DaveOnArrival
@DaveOnArrival 6 жыл бұрын
I don't think we tried drinking it but it's probably fine to drink since it's spring water.

@@trywithchris October in southern Utah is best. Not too cold, leaves turning color, great light for photography, plenty of daylight, sunset 5pm?
