Those figures are similar to the UK, yet the NHS will only just manage the symptoms and not the underlying cause. The NHS spends 3 billion per year on wound clinics instead of hiring vein specialists to offer and carry out the appropriate treatments. I’m from England and had to pay a private specialist vein clinic to get EVLT, TRLOP and Ultrasound Foam Guided Sclerotherapy. Best money I ever spent and haven’t looked back. I was rated a C6 in my left leg through a DVT I had aged only 36 through the contraceptive pill, even though I was and still am an extremely fit, slim healthy runner.
