I don't understand why when I had mine done that they put me in reverse trendelenburg instead of standing, I'm definitely fit enough to stand. Can anything be missed if they didn't do it standing? Thank you

I assume if the test is performed with the patient laying down the reflux flow would be lesser than if the test is performed standing or would the numbers be the same?

What you assume is right. Standing up the patient increases the venous pressure. So numbers will be different.

I had this done at the clinic of the Professor who pioneered Endovenous surgery and performed the first radio-frequency ablation in the UK in 1999. It was carried out standing up. I then had the necessary procedures in 2018 and have never looked back.

Is reflux always a sign of needing surgery... Incompetent sfj and visible varicose veins... I'm hearing all kinds of answers some say surgery only should be used if symptoms are extreme. Because can't the evlt or a phelebectomy cause more problems? You take away a large vein... So all the other veins have increased blood supply and that causes a Domino effect in them going bad? Im just throwing a theory out there. I'm just wondering if surgery should be based on symptoms more then computer showing reflux

Nope doesn’t cause more problems at all, as long as the correct treatments are carried out in the right order and performed by a vein expert (Phlebologist) Incidentally, EVLT has now been replaced by Echotherapy, a completely non-invasive procedure.

@@bowtech1020 I couldn’t work because of the venous leg ulcers I suffered through the venous insufficiency caused by a freak blood clot on my left leg through the contraceptive pill. I’m from England and our NHS couldn’t treat me, they were dire. I had to pay at a specialist vein clinic in London. It cost me the price of two good holidays, which I couldn’t go on anyway because of the ulcers. I’m now symptom free and haven’t looked back since 2018. Best money I ever spent. I do so hope you get sorted.

Nice video content! Apologies for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you tried - Carnbigail Reputable Cure (search on google)? It is a great one off guide for eradicating your varicose or spider veins minus the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my best friend Jordan got excellent results with it.
