'40 Looks great, can't believe the main leaf was broken given how clean the rest of the spring pack was.

i know very odd. thats probably why my shacles were straight up and down before taking the old spring out

LOOKING GOOD! seems to be a fairly common thing to have a broken leaf, I had one, but in the front. Sure does look good. I also did the poly between my leafs.

Use a good water seperator for the blast cabinet, moisture ruins the blast media

yeah good point

On mine I had to take the pack apart to put the main on the axle and then assemble the spring back together. But I also used stock length shackles
@RACGARAGE10 ай бұрын
yeah if i had stock length i wouldnt have been able to do this.

Blast cabinet will eat air like it is free. I have a 5 hp Quincey 2 stage that does a good job. I tried using my old Craftsman but it wouldn’t do it.

After watching all your videos I know now that you always want to stay true to all old world tricks BUT you could have saved yourself a ton of work if you had just ordered a complete Chassic Engineering rear leaf kit complete with all the brackets and be over and done with it……When your current setup is back in the car and it doesn’t sit low enough,,,,,then what do you do….?
@RACGARAGE10 ай бұрын
if it doesnt sit low enough i would probably take a few leafs out. i understand what youre saying and im ok with redoing things and figuring it all out. its part of the fun for me.
