Low-key is one powerful intelligent voice. The elite have failed to understand what they are up against. I truly hope we can bring change and listen to the articulate residents of this borough. Immigration and the working man is truly the heart and soul of Britain. Political Mobilization. Regeneration. This gene pool is magnificent, I am so proud of the intelligent eloquent voices.

they probably think poor people are unintelligent and lack the spirit to resist gentrification but couldn't be further from the truth

what an eloquent intelligent man with a good insight into the neo liberal doctrine. outsource, which they hope absolves them of responsibility and reap the profits. Privatise the profits and socialise the losses.

"The house as a casualty" by Mahmoud Darwish (translated from Arabic) In one minute the entire life of a house is ended. The house as casualty is also mass murder, even if it is empty of its inhabitants. A mass grave of raw materials intended to build a structure with meaning, or a poem with no importance in time of war. The house as casualty is the severance of things from their relationships and from the names of feelings, and from the need of tragedy to direct its eloquence at seeing into the life of the object. In every object there is a being in pain - a memory of fingers, of a smell, an image. And houses are killed just like their inhabitants. And the memory of objects is killed: stone, wood, glass, iron, cement are scattered in broken fragments like living beings. And cotton, silk, linen, papers, books are torn to pieces like proscribed words. Plates, spoons, toys, records, taps, pipes, door handles, fridges, washing machines, flower vases, jars of olives and pickles, tinned food all break just like their owners. Salt, sugar, spices, boxes of matches, pills, contraceptives, antidepressants, strings of garlic, onions, tomatoes, dried okra, rice and lentils are crushed to pieces just like their owners. Rent agreements, marriage documents, birth certificates, water and electricity bills, identity cards, passports, love letters are torn to shreds like their owners’ hearts. Photographs, toothbrushes, combs, cosmetics, shoes, underwear, sheets, towels fly in every direction like family secrets broadcast aloud in the devastation. All these things are a memory of the people who no longer have them and of the objects that no longer have the people-destroyed in a minute. Our things die like us, but they aren’t buried with us.

rehome everyone that needs to be in the community were they belong. don't move them away. I was here yesterday. I am one of many that won't stop speaking out about the removal of the less wealthy from these areas . These people are an example of how communities should be. respect and admiration to all. I'll be back next week from Coventry. lots of love to everyone. everyone has lost someone here. A friend, relative or more. this was very apparent on visiting. these people, with all they are going through still made sure me and my friends are and drank plenty whilst working in 30 degrees Sun. big love to you all xxx

From Code of Hammurabi, about 1754 BC: "If a builder build a house for a man and do not make its construction firm, and the house which he has built collapse and cause the death of the owner of the house, that builder shall be put to death". We in 2017 have a lot to learn from that.

Hello, my name is Joanna and I work for Minnow Films; we are an independent production company that make documentaries and drama for all the major broadcasters. The films that we produce are made with the utmost respect, compassion and integrity. Our double BAFTA-winning drama Damilola, Our Loved Boy, a film about the death of Damilola Taylor, was recently broadcast on BBC1, and was made in close collaboration with Damilola’s father Richard Taylor. We have recently been commissioned to make a 90 minute film on the Grenfell Tower fire which will broadcast on BBC1 next year around the anniversary. We have been working with many survivors and members of the local community to ensure a powerful, truthful and poignant documentary is made about the experiences of the wide range of people who were effected by the fire. For part of the film we would like to include some of the footage that has been captured both during and after the fire and I wanted to get in touch with you to find out if you might be happy for us to potentially include yours? This is a collaborative project and we intend to pay for any footage we use and credit the people who filmed it. If you are interested in being involved in our film or would just like to find out more about it please drop me an email on joanna@minnowfilms.co.uk. In the meantime, I have included a link to our showreel: vimeo.com/218194810 Thanks, Joanna

we need drones that can carry ppl. every fucking fire department should have 5-10 of them incase this happens again, we can save lives, drones are the best way to save ppllike this, we need to bring this idea to life, no one should stand in a window for a hourwaiting to die. we should been able to save them instead of watching them get toasted. plz some one bring this idea to life, i dont have the funds to create something thatll save ppl from fire like, we can fucking do it, i know we can

Have you actually read up on him or listened to his songs or watched any of his speeches? The police have been targeting him for years constantly raiding his home, accusing him of being a terrorist and other things. He speaks facts and pure truth and the British government don’t like him what they’ve put this guy, family and friends through I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if he’s actually got PTSD after everything people in power have done to him!?! He wrote two songs about Grenfell apart from BBC Asian I think is it’s called the British government had and still have him blacklisted and all music channels and radio stations was instructed not to play any of his music especially the two Grenfell songs. They are the real anthem to what happened that night and for all the victims not the cover song Simon did with all them artists who did nothing to help any of the victims they didn’t even visit the area or the site of this tragedy. Lowkey even calls Simon out in the second song about what he did. All these years later and there’s still a third of the victims without permanent and suitable accommodation. The government backtracked on their promises none of the victims have seen any of the money promised and still almost 100 thousand people are living in buildings with that cladding still attached and none of their fire safety systems have been updated. And no ones been held accountable still even though the people and companies involved all admitted their guilt at the inquiry and inquest with hard evidence that they knew and had known from the start the building wasn’t safe. And they changed the insurance policy a few months before the fire (just like what happened with the twin towers!) and the payout the building owners got is now and still is the biggest payout in European history! The policy hadn’t been changed since the the late 80’s. Question is what made them change it out the blue a few months before? It’s the same question that still hasn’t been answered regarding the twin towers. Lowkey is on to something when he mentioned the other four apartment blocks. This outside of millionaires row is the most expensive place to live in London.
