The proxy location makes me think it wasn't originally going to be BCs - after all, you can just jump, so you don't need it close to their base. It could have been effectively proxied to hide it in some random spot that would be less likely to be scouted, but I don't see much of a reason to have a forward proxy BC unless he was planning on Banshees and decided against it for whatever reason.

Lowko have you considered the pro Terrans may not be playing ghosts to get some practice in in anticipation of the ghosts being nerfed? Also what bothers me with this whole discussion is that I'm not sure what people expect Terrans to do in the mid to late game. Most times we've seen terrans try play something other than ghosts, it just doesn't work and gets easily cleaned up (especially mech). If the ghost gets nerfed too hard, terrans don't really have a viable composition against most late game zerg and protoss armies. I still think the ghost needs a nerf, but they need to buff mech up a bit so there are other compositions they can play instead.

Maybe I've been watching too much Lowko, but I also think that Terran should build ghosts in basically every game against Zerg or Protoss. They're good against all high tier units and not particularly weak against anything.

I like "standard SC2" as much as the next guy but a game that goes off meta is by far the best. A game of "standard" meta is just repeating the same thing again and again and again and again. Like if you had no choice of what you do and as such kinda eliminate the fact that it's a STRATEGY game. Off meta is fresh, don't know what to expect, etc ..

How to fix the ghost... Make snipe weaker against armored units, this helps the ultra. Make it a bit weaker to upgraded protoss shields. Now protoss will upgrade them.

?? Snipe is a spell... it already ignores armor. Just nerf it by 10 damage, then it takes an extra snipe to kill an Ultra.
