uThermal is such a boss player. Like, he plays for fun with memey builds mostly but still somehow plays at such a high level, and can even take games off the best players in the world randomly (or keep things extremely interesting). I'd be interested to know what his true MMR would be after grinding for a couple months 100% seriously. I also wish 2v2 wasn't such a meme in this game, with terrible maps. Would've loved to see a Uthermal/Harstem 2v2 team if 2v2 tourneys were a legit thing.

I think he would reach around 6300-6400 if he was grinding for a couple of months. The trouble for thermy is that his TvP has always been his worst MU and 80% of his ladder games would be against protoss players because +6000 mmr ladder have a lot of active protoss players compare to terran and zerg.

@@s4bc protoss is by far the easiest class to play. Im a zerg main mostly and everytime I play against terrans i feel like facing a better player, on the other hand everytime playing vs protoss it feels like fighting a noob. The difficulty in the races is really not as balanced as the races itself, which is shown in the ladder.

If you go hardcore all-in (12-pylon, no units) and do it without robo, you can warp in 4 DT around 3:40. By math it is 3:27 + a bit time before you can make the first pylon. But of course this probably is more theory than everything else, if you are higher than silver league^^

1 base smells too fishy though. Need to pretend to do your usual 3 base Blink Stalker and hardcut the Blink upgrade for Shrine. Least time to react. uThermal didn't seem very interested in scouting in both games. Clem was up a game so could gamble a little bit more too. Clem likely knew uThermal was going more macro this game (to compensate for last game) so all the energy spent on mules, and he knows the timings of when mules were just dropped. Best to hit when the Terran has no scan energy.

Most toss players do not micro their Colossus and they die to libs and concentrated fire from bio units. Clem on the other hand is a master at kiting with them with the Col. He gets soooo much value out of them. The turning point in the first game was when Clem attacked uThermal with a smaller but more upgraded army knowing that he had the upper hand with more mining and more backup units coming. Meanwhile uThermal was hemorrhaging resources, and stopped upgrading.

Good job clem. Finally, another protoss player that realizes you have to keep terran bio ball count low which taxes terrans apm because they have to; 1. Macro 2. Micro 3. Build troops. If terran to busy doing micro on fights, overtime, seconds add up on missing troop production, whereas toss and zerg can spam troop production easier.

For the amount of time it takes to gain the energy for a scan he'd already lost a significant # of workers and mining time grinds to crashing halt since DTs were in both mineral lines. Your describing desperate actions and all this is coming from responding to the DTs alone. Never mind the growing army that would contain stalkers that shoot up to hit those flying structures or going stargate with that enormous econ lead.
