That's exactly how I feel with my gray it's almost white and people say it's so pretty how light but no dimension unless you have lowlights...like a rooted blonde right...your hair is beautiful!

As always, your hair looks absolutely gorgeous both the colour and length. Next month is my 2-year anniversary of no hair dye and I'm very salt and pepper, the white is more underneath and therefore less visible. I totally get what you say about looking washed out, hair colour can definitely do that and it's important to do what makes you feel good with adding some lowlights. They look lovely and very natural.

Looks fantastic! I decided to do this at some point, too, had some swatches of grey that were just too white for me. I just wanted to "break it up" a bit. I really like still having my grey, though. I think it's a great solution. Yours looks so wonderful. The only problem is with needing to get it done again often, like every 3 to 6 months , professionally can be expensive, so I'm trying to learn how to do it myself. The first time I tried to do it myself things, or the foils, got all mushed up and I ended up dying too much.

I had 4 different colours of dark out through. One was matched with my natural dark underneath, one darker, one lighter and a storm grey. My stylist had loads of fun and I left her to decide what she thought was best xx

Your hair is absolutely gorgeous both before and after the lowlights! I'm one of those who grew out grey for two whole years then returned to dye 3 years ago and now started the process over a month ago. How do you keep your hair so moisturized and not frizzy? Those were the main reasons I went back to dye for some reason.

I have a good conditioner, never straighten, use an oil when wet and allow to dry naturally as much as possible xx

Hiya! Oooo I'm excited for you!! You will never know what beautiful colours you have until you actually grow it all out but it's so worth the wait! I started using Pro-voke touch of silver. It's quite concentrated but they do a milder one for daily use. I mixed it up loads. I would use head and shoulders for a week then a purple shampoo. Then I'd do hair boss for a week then purple shampoo. If you go to home bargains, you can find a few purple shampoos to try really cheaply and find what works best. Good luck with it!! xx
