I've known this for a long time growing up Mexican with a dad who had several lowriders. He would always tell me that we needed to go to Japan and check out their low rider scene. This is my first time really getting to see it!

The one that you said is definitely an import is actually a Monte Carlo Aerocoupe which was a homologation model for NASCAR. Pretty rare spot even in the US. The car at 7:15. And his number 3 custom plate is likely a reference to Dale Earnhardt whose NASCAR number was 3 and who raced an Aerocoupe.

What I found most surprising is most of the Honda's and nissan's from this meet looks, by westerners standards, "Riced" yet in their over-the-top looks it's elegant... almost forgot the 2000's are long gone.
@Kev27RS6 жыл бұрын
playerDJFL Some Honda's and other brands that were at this meeting were customized like people did back in the 90's as a "LOWRIDER" in Cali' like the pink and turquoise ones at 4:40! Also the CRX DEL SOL at 5:15 just looks like it came straight out of '99/2000 from California with a time machine... ✌ 👍

8:15 My dad loved his Impalas, too. He had a '65 mellow-yellow convertible w/black top that I vaguely remember. Sadly, it was rear ended on the expressway. Dad then got a red '68 Impala after that, but it wasn't a convertible. He worked & retired from Ford Motor, but he was always an "Oldsmobile Man" at heart.
