I've had this loxjie a30 now for almost 2 years now and havent had a single issue with it. Im using it with RP600M's and y splitting the sub out to a pair of monolith thx 10 inch subs. Amazing. Excessively more than what i need in an apartment. Using optical in from my TV and using the smsl su1 from a laptop has caused my yamaha receiver to collect some dust. The loxjie trounces the Yamaha HT reciver for 2 channel listening. Looking forward to purchasing the new loxjie A40 speaker amp/dac unit!

Thanks to the plague my job is going completely virtual in 2 months. So I will be staring at computer at home for 8 hours a day and I will need good music. Looking into to a desktop solution that has an amp, DAC and headphone amp built in for under $200. This looks like a good solution, going to have whatever I get paired with an extra set of the Sony SSCS5's I have. I prefer class A/B normally for the same reasons as you. I had a class D Fosi amp that sounded thin and lacked detail in the bass even with the bass tuned up. I am going to check out your other small amp reviews to make my descion.

Hey Randy. Love your channel. Have you driven Q150s with this amp? If so, how do you feel about it? I have the amp and although I love the speakers, I’m not quite satisfied with the pairing. Feels like I want fuller and warmer sound even when I use Jamo S810 subs with em. Perhaps an AB amp might be better with the KEF. I’d love to know your input. Thanks!

it took me about 6 month to figure out that the USB connection is not great at all. I'm now using BT and the sound and outup are significantly better. My understanding from research is that the USB port does not use the SABRE dac.

Another great review, thanks! I also viewed your take on the Fosi Audio DA2120C, which seems like a very similar unit for about the same price. Is there a clear winner when comparing the two? I'll be driving a couple JBL Studio 530s for the most part. The headphone jack is a nice addition on the Loxjie but not a determining factor for me. Really just looking for a 2.1 amp/dac all in one unit with Bluetooth and a remote like this for the office or home gym. Appreciate your work!

Thanks, Sean. If you can swing it I’d look at either the Emotiva SE8 or SE12 or the SVS SB1000 pro. They range from 300-500 but they’re a significant improvement over the Klipsch or Polk offerings around the $100 mark. JBL’s lowest tier offering often goes on sale and it’s a very good value at the price.

It looks like the D30 dac which Loxjie turned into a speaker amp, adding RCA and subouts while changing the usb to micro and a different power supply. Still, for the price, it's essentially an all in one option.

Just got mine and tested it with Q Acoustic 3020i at my desk. I thought it was quite decent but not as refined as my Topping DX7 pro and Aiyima A07 setup. Then I tested it with the optical out from the TV to the 3030i front speakers in a bigger room. Again it was reasonable good, can be very loud with no distortion, but I didn't find it to be vastly superior to the sound directly out of the Denon AVR-x1000. If I want to have a two-channel setup on the side using the same front speakers that sounds significantly better than the AVR, I wonder how much more do I have to spend? Would something like the Cambridge AXR100 be worth the additional $300+ compared to the Loxjie?

The Cambridge ARX100 is a serious 2 channel integrated amplifier with a beefy 2ch amp section. It is superior in every way to the Denon you have for sound quality. If you take a look at the insides of each unit, you'll see the Cambridge has a toroidal transformer (vs the iron core, cheaper version in the Denon), thicker heat sink, and larger power capacitors. There is no way these little Chinese amps can compete, even against your Denon, much less the ARX100. And both set of Q Acoustic speakers you have are awesome. They just need to be driven properly. Hi Randy, I recently purchased a Aiyima D03 to drive a pair of Monitor Audio WSS130 Slimline in wall speakers that I connected my SONY TV instead of a soundbar. (I only had room either side of TV nothing below for soundbar) I am using the optical audio connection and it sounds great, but my wife complains that the TV remote does not control the sound, and we need 2 remotes. Is there a good DAC that I can plug the HDMI eARC output from the TV into, that will then connect to the RCA input on D03 AMP and still control the volume from the TV remote? or is there another way. eg use the headphone out on TV to RCA on the D03? It may. I have the RP500’s and they’re not as bad as some other Klipsch’s. The thing about the RP’s is that they need to be calmed down in the 1500-2k region and tone controls don’t normally help that out too much. I think this would do as well as anything. Frankly I needed an EQ with almost all the amps I tried with it. Ironically the thing that did the best with the 500’s was the denafrips

D30 it’s a DAC/Headphone device and the A30 it is DAC/Headphone amp/ speaker amp. As a DAC , the D30 is much better. But the A30 has it all. So it is very versatile.

today is 7/12/2022 LOXJIE A30 is extremely way to quiet. I have to have it on volume like 32 to hear it. I can have the smsl ad-18 at 14 and it's loud. also, both are connected with a USB to my computer. my computer volume is at 100 for each. I was totally excited to get this DAC. all the reviews were talking about how good this thing was. But really after only an hour, it was back in the box. no matter what I did I need the volume up to 30. that way I could hear the videos well. Also, the da-18 was recognized as speakers. But the LOXJIE A30 was recognized as headphones idk. oh well at least I tried something new and it was really a disappointment. What is everyone else take on the LOXJIE A30. that's the review I did that day.

I was using the USB as well and my recent understand is that USB does not route through the SABRE dac. Once I started using Bluetooth from apple music it really came to life. I was experiencing the same thing you were.
