A Shiba Inu ran 8km from its new owner’s house to reunite with its old owner in northern China’s Heilongjiang province. Zhao has lived with Saisai for almost 8 years, her asthma worsened recently so she could only send her dog away to a friend.

I also has asthma and when I was a kid, my mom brought home a puppy and I named it Kiki. Kiki and I were practically best friends, but then my asthma worsened and we had to send him to my grandpa. We could only go back during the holidays but my cousins would send pictures of him waiting on the side of the road everyday for us to come back. RIP Kiki, I missed you so much. 💕

@@shawnac9289 my mom grew up with dogs her whole life. And never had any allergic reaction. In the last couple years of our huskies life my mom all of a sudden became deathly allergic. My mom was playing with our dog outside and next thing we knew her face was so swollen that she looked like she had been in a boxing match against Mike Tyson. And her throat was closing rapidly. While waiting for the paramedics we basically shoved liquid baby benadryl down her throat.we almost lost her and the ER told us that if we didn't do what we did on instinct then we would have lost her. Now she can't even be in the same room as a dog or she ends up needing to go to the ER.it devastates her that she can't be around dogs anymore. She cares about dogs So much so that she literally let herself almost die on a plane once because someone brought a therapy/companion dog on and the girl was having a hard time coping with flying. And we almost lost her then too, because she didn't complain to the flight attendant which she had every right to do since her life was in jeopardy. Shes over 60 Everyone's allergies are not the same. And allergies can worsen over time. Your allergy experience arnt the same as others. Sometimes meds don't work. We've tried for years to fix it but can't

and yet she gave her family member to a friend that was meant to be keeping that dog safe instead the dog was put at risk and like magic now she has figured out a way to keep the dog. let me explain this to you, when you take a dog into your life you become that dogs family, you do everything to make it work not just give it away because you have asthma. but your word pet explains your mentality, a canary is a pet a gold fish is a pet a dog is not a pet it is a family member and you have no business getting one if you dont intend treating it as such

To help with the asthma, she needs an air purifier (at least one in every major room), an AI vacuum like a Roomba for maintenance cleaning, and then a high quality vacuum for deep weekly cleaning, like a Dyson. If she wants to keep the dog, upkeep will be expensive to manage her asthma, but so worth it for the loyalty and companionship.

It’s kind of true for every dog owner. But I think another alternative is to give dogs bi-weekly baths/brushes to keep any and all loose hair tidied out and in the trash. Edit: Animals accumulate Dandruff and germs from their mouth when they try cleaning themselves. Which is the main source of allergens in people. This is why you need to bathe them regularly.

Aww…I can only imagine how much was on Saisai’s mind and the obstacles he faced when he was sent to his owner’s friend’s house and then decided to trek back to his owner’s house. The fact that he knew how and where the house was just shows how much effort, dedication, love, and intelligence that he had as a dog. Also goes to show how great of a person Zhao is, regarding the fact that her dog was willing to go through lengths just to see her again.

Same thing happened to us when we gave our puppies away for free to the people in our neighborhood. Then months later, one of the puppies was being neglected by the owner (not being fed) and suddenly showed up at the front of our house. He now lives with us and is hella happy.

My grandparents were on holiday so they left our dog with relatives who lived 20 km or more away from us. A few days passed and those relatives frantically called us to tell us that our dog escaped. Then suddenly after 2 days our neighbour called and said that our dog showed up in front of our house and was howling to be let in. Dogs are truly loyal 😭

Same story with my cat. We use to have a cat when i was a kid. We left our cat on our farm to control the rats and the distance from our home to our farm is around 3 km. After 2 days our cat came home all by herself.

Actually, cat always knows how to come back home. Even if you put your cat 10KM in an unknown location, your cat always knows the way back home unless you move to another house. My cat was thrown away on the other side of the city, and somehow next morning, my cat came back to my house.

That dog sounds very similar to Greyfriar’s Bobby in Scotland. Bobby was owned by a police officer who sadly passed away. After his owner passed away he sat at his grave guarding it for 14 years until Bobby himself passed away. He was buried in the same graveyard as his owner and they also put up a statue to commemorate him.

My cat ran away when we live in our old house, we could find him quite a while. Months later we moved to a new house about 6km away. Suprisingly our cat made his way to us, but he was sick. As if he knew to head home, and he died eventually. RIP kucing

@@Lussimio Pigs have also saved people's lives just like other pets have, they are also intelligent. I don't believe the problem is with the concept of meat farming in general, just the way they go about it. I kinda wish we could just revert, to a time where we just HUNTED for our food, y'know, like real animals do for survival and what our ancestors did? Not only is it more respectful, but the animal will not be put with 50 other animals with no where to go. Not to mention we hunt anyways, some even do it for "trophies" (disgusting, trophy hunting is gross) It's all for money man. You have to pay to hunt your own food which isn't exactly easy or you have to pay for the meat they farmed that is hurting the earth and the animals subject to it... it's a messed up situation.

Shibas love their family forever. Mine never forgets his dog or human friends and cries with joy and dances every time he sees someone he cares about. People always say my boy is an aloof and stuck up dog because he's wary of most strangers, but if you earn his trust he's gonna be loyal for the rest of his life. The allergies and amount of shedding shibas have is no joke. I feel for them and their struggle.

My aunt once drove her dog back to her countryside house and wanted to keep it there with my grandpa who hated the city, thinking grandpa would appreciate the company and the dog has more space to run around. One month later, the dog found its way home, lost half of its weight. We were really surprised because it’s a 2 hour drive. No one has the heart to leave it to anywhere else any more. My uncle in law build a big dog house in the yard so it has more space to itself. It’s been keeping mailman always ever since.

I have athsma and I'm also now a dog owner. One of the ways people who have athsma can keep cats/dogs is sleep on separate room and always, always, always, always vacuum places where your dogs/cats mostly spend time at to reduce the chance of inhaling fine strands of furs. I DO have to give my cat away because cat's fur is too fine and it can easily be inhaled while dog's fur are relatively coarser strand and longer. I miss my cat to this day 🥺🥺. Pets are more than animals, they're life companions.

It's not just you. Shiba Inu's and Akita's are one of the most loyal dog breeds. And they are a only one owner kind of breeds. They will stick to just one single person for the rest of their lives, so if people get one of those breeds, then they have to stick with them and NOT give them away!

I'm curious if air filter isn't strong enough or if her asthma is that severe... Some people start keeping their dog outside as alternative but some might find it cruel to a house dog after how long indoors (maybe that's why she gave him away?).

just don't sleep in the same room as the dog or let it in there and most of the problem will likely go away. I somehow don't buy that reason. It seems strange that after 8 years the situation suddenly became unbearable. As I see it, getting a pet is a heavy responsibility, and there is no justification for abandoning one after that long.

@@simonphoenix3789 Asthmas and allergies can be pretty unpredictable though. I've heard cases like that where they were perfectly healthy but suddenly gained or worsened. Don't be so quick to judge. She clearly loves the dog and had the resources as well.

Same thing happened to us when I was little my dad gave away our dog to one of his friends that lived like 2-3 hours away, she was back with us within the next week, she died of old age, she was 12/13 years old 💔 miss her alot- she was the best girl ❤️❤️

As a dog owner of 4 even though my mother takes care of them, I started bawling eyes out @ 0:43 seeing how ADORABLE Saisai is by wearing her bunny ears while wagging her tail. 🐶 So many humans underestimate how crucial dogs are to us and how much emotional support they give us as well as it makes me proud that my mother raised dogs throughout my childhood as they're the best animal I've even played and loved with as it warms my bony heart to see how caring Zhao is with her dog as Saisai returns back to her. 😇 *sniff.*
