I like your format having the color (colour) dots on the screen while painting. I going try this tonight.

Love it! As an ex-tankie I love anything armour related and the figures really set the scene. I can only imagine what your going to make as a diorama for this!

Damn good painting of the figures and considering that they are not resin figures. Gecko Models already has some really good plastic figures in its range

I was a little disspointed with the quality on these, for a modern tool they seemed a little soft, but it can be sorted with some scraping and careful painting.

Those figures look really good. At the moment I am doing some modern UK tank crew and I am finding the four colour camo uniform a real pain to paint and get to look right.

Camo is something I have yet to tackle. It's a bit daunting. Something for the future maybe

Fantastic video/tutorial James. Just what I needed as I’m about to paint some figures. Shame that even with this video to guide me my figures will probably end up looking crap! 😢😂😂

When I do a figure, I end up doing a LOT of blending as it helps get the opacity correct. i also find that as I get older, I don't like messing with 1/32 or 1/35 figures, I prefer to work with the 1/16 subjects now. Over the past year, I have adopted most of the Night Shift channel method of figure painting, it just works well for me. Black primer, then followed by a coat of white, then creating a filter for your base color, applying multiple layers, then work with the highlights and shadows, blend, blend, blend.

I used to do the zenithal highlight method, but as time went on I found it more organic to mix the shades than rely on black and white. Sometimes lightening or darkening a colour benefits from a colour shift that doesn't happen that way. That being said, there are Enough methods for everyone to use and experiment with.

Thanks for watching ! Usually until its touch dry. I will start a figure and finish it in 1 session sometimes

Another great tutorial. The one thing that never seems to be correct to me (at least in 1/35 scale) is the depiction of fingers, they are either modelled as "welded together" or with a much too pronounced shadow line. Looking at how hands behave, I've yet to see any modelling company give a really good representation of how the most mobile part of the human anatomy behaves...a shame since you can now get super accurate machine guns, periscope sights, ammo rounds etc.
@lpjmodels8 ай бұрын
That's a good point Chris, some of the 3d figures I have seen are better in this regard.
