It's bankruptcy PROTECTION. It's to help them NOT go bankrupt and that if they possibly do then there's legal protection behind it. It's basically just them getting things in order under court supervision in case anything does happen in the future

@@HeyItsNovalee Yeah I always find titles and thumbnails like this dreadfully annoying, it pisses me off and just comes across as blatant misinformation just to gain views, it's ridiculous. All it took was a single Google search to find what it actually is they've filed for and in turn what that means. Hype has also died because we haven't had any new announcements, it's been the same blindbags and pet sets since release. Other than the potential prototype leaks that go around every once and a while we haven't had any news and that's kinda killing the hype train

I feel like if basic fun wants to make more money with lps, they have to start releasing the main 5 pets. These are the most cherished among the fandom, so everyone would like to get their hands on them, myself included. Maybe they could release a pack with one of each main 5 as a “collectors pack” or something. If they have good designs ( maybe some neutral colors?), and a reasonable price for everyone, basic fun could earn some money from that. They do seem to care about lps more than hasbro did for the last 12 years. Hope basic fun can earn back the money they need to stay afloat..

In Europe LPS G7 is distributed by Ban Di , the writing is on the wall. I think the licensing rights would be going to the next buyer Ban Di (Europe) and another U.S. distributor.

Considering how Basic Fun was the only company to pick up LPS, there’s a chance no one else will, but maybe one might after seeing how successful it was with this company - even if said company was failing behind in debt - it could work wonders for another. payments. Many people want them. Maybe Hasbro will produce them again, but there’s a chance they’ll be lower quality compared to the early 2000s because companies nowadays love the cash grab.

I just really REALLY hope that if BasicFun goes kaboom the LPS line doesn't fall into the hands of a company that follows the "trend money-grab" mindset (like Hasbro...), so we DON'T get a boost of low quality pets that bank on us just buying them because "we have no better options" (LPS fakes have been able to thrive so far, but were a greedy company to get their hands on the copy rights... that could change).

Considering the committee is brewing with the new generation of content creators like myself on instagram and TikTok and soon to be KZbin I really hope that some else picks up the lps molds and hopefully buys the older molds to and bring back the older designs with the personality marks is a really nice idea and I like it so I with how popular lps is getting I’m certain it’s gonna be successful

Does basic fun make the Care Bears and micro Care Bears? I haven’t seen any new micro Care Bears since last year… just wondering.
