Poor Krustine! she was blind at first, but now she's cute. Also, you should've used the acetone first, then scrubbed with the baking soda, acetone will eat through vinyl if you don't thoroughly wash it off and the baking soda is good at that. Acetone breaks down with baking soda into CO2 and H20, so it breaks down into carbon dioxide aka what we exhale and what plants take in to grow, and water. so it's perfectly safe. To take paint and such off of a figure you should soak either a qtip or a cotton ball with the acetone and hold it against the doll for 1 minute wherever you want the paint to be removed.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this process or if anyone’s had told you this method but, usually people use 10% benzoyl peroxide acne cream and let it sit in the sun for an hour or so and wipe it off. You would have to do multiple treatments depending on your results. I know it works well for monster high dolls, on mlp toys it can cause discoloration over time idk abt lps though. Hope this helps 😅

yo autumn, long-time scrap-basher, doll customizer, and general sculpter here!! i am really glad i stumbled upon your channel as these toys hold a special place in my heart from my little siblings childhood, i would have LOVED them if they were popular during my childhood!!! but anyway, i would like to give you a few little secrets from my communities of crafting!!! one, if you ever need a certain texture, always sculpt your own texture roller / stamp, it saves a tremendous amount of time. two, i recommend sanding any plastic surface that is too smooth to work with, it gives the plastic some sort of grip to work with, three, and the MOST IMPORTANT, if you ever want to try faux textures for anything really, i 100% recommend STATIC GRASS APPLICATORS, or a static charging applicator, along with that you gotta get 1 milometer+ (i think the longest you can get is 5 milometers) 'grass' (fur) in whatever color you need, and statically charge it to a surface coated in an adhesive, it won't stick to any places where glue isn't applied. the benefit of this is that BECAUSE it is statically charged the hairs will stick upwards looking very very natural. i hope any of this helps!!!! ^_^

When cleaning an old lps, you can also do watered down/distilled vinegar and baking soda or nail polish remover or acetone. Hope this helps.
