A few months ago, my partner bought me a Brazilian penniwort sold as a houseplant. It hated its life in my dry apartment and I thought it was going to die. I had no idea what it was (I thought it was a Pilea peperomioides). By the time I figured it out, it was a tiny thing, almost dead, and I stuck it into my (very small) terrarium in a last-ditch effort to keep it alive. Ever since, it has been a battle of the wits between me and that plant. I want it confined to one small area of my terrarium, but it wants to take over completely. So every now and then I have to go do surgery to remove the latest offshoot, which often results in major disruption to my mosses. SIgh... So all the pieces I've cut off that plant have been living in a container of water, waiting for me to build a small container pond on my balcony, which will happen next weekend. I'm excited for it but I know it is also going to try and dominate that.

If you have ants, you might have aphids or scales. They protect, farm, and move pests around as well. Eliminating the ants really helps control the other pests.

@@Kocht86 I honestly have no idea, I treated mines pretty badly but as long as it got plenty of light it always came back stronger than before. One thing I recommend is regularly trimming and taking off dead or soon-to-be dead leaves. I’m convinced that it made my pennywort grow faster.

Yes the light spectrum is 6500k which is more blue and white which signals continuous growth. Having red in it can signal fall time and it can be harder for it to grow out fast.
