Red mangrove can be in straight salt. Have had them in my reef tank for over 15 years . As long as the leafs are out of water and about half the stem out the water and good light it will grow awesome.

Miami native hear, Mangrove is a barrier plant it grows in salt water and captures the sand to make new land.

Brazillian pennyworth is just amazing, i love when they flower. If you don't mind pruning them, they will go down the aquarium for about a meter.

Careful, mangrove roots split tanks. Red mangroves can handle full saltwater, but if they germinate in fresh water, the acclimation process has to be slow, like a month.

2:00, what he is trying to say is that this plant is flood tolerant, it can grow underwater and above water. Not all plants that are flood tolerant can do both effectively, take the horse reed for example.
