Excellent information. During the past six months We have used Dave's DVC rental service to rent 2 bedroom units at Old Key West and Bay Lake Tower. Wonderful accommodations both times. We were able to access the "Top of the World" lounge at BLT without any problem even though we were not DVC owners.

DVC is fab, I am a member and its works like a Disney dream for my family.. if you love Disney you cant go wrong.

@@LRDreaming I am sure you have already done this but the next time you visit go and take a tour of the DVC sales center, great fun and you get free ice cream and Disney cookies. Great video! We always rented points before becoming DVC members. It was wonderful. We were able to stay at resorts we would have otherwise not been able to afford. Even if we weren’t able to get our 1st choice resort for the full week we were able to stay at another resort for a couple days and then switch to our 1st choice. It seems that AKL, Saratoga springs and old key west always have rooms available.

I am used David’s DVC for the first time with my upcoming trip and will be staying at Old Key West. Paying $170/night, compared to $300/night if booked directly through Disney. I can’t wait to try other resorts in the future using this same scheme.

We're using DVC Rental Store for the second time this year - love them. Stayed in a Kidani Village studio in 2017 for less than a Moderate. Staying at Wilderness Lodge this year. As was mentioned in the video- the price you are quoted is the price you pay, i.e. no 12.5% nightly tax (which I think many forget to factor into their budget calculations). You also get free laundry, either at the onsite laundry room or your own washer and dryer if you have a 1 bedroom or larger. Those larger units also come with a full kitchen, great for a family wanting to prepare some meals. And some have Community Rooms/Halls with crafts and games. The one at Kidani is across from the laundry room and arcade. My nephew loved going in there when we had down time back at the resort (and it has a great view of the savanna).

We are DVC members since 2016 and do not regret buying in one bit We have been able to stay at the grand Californian, Animal kingdom lodge and Saratoga since we bought and basically these trips have paid for our contract!! Our home resort is Poly and we will be staying there in 2021!! Renting dvc points is a great way to stay at the deluxe resorts for way cheaper than cash value!!

Fyi dvc members can never be charged for parking as we pay dues and parking maintenance is part of the dues so if they were to charge members it would be double dipping

One more clarification If you stay less than 7 nights you get towel service on day 4 if you stay more than 8 nights you get a full clean in day 5

Great video! There’s on more thing to consider for the DVC rooms; the decor and furnishings are less elaborate and a little bit more standard than the hotel rooms at the Deluxe resorts. Still worth it though.

We used David’s Vacation Club Rentals for a 3-night stay at Aulani and it was super easy, saved us quite a bit of money. When we do WDW we usually go with the UK free dining package, big fans of the prepaid dining. But I think you could possibly save money renting DVC points, might try it one day :-) Great video!

Wonderful guide, guys! We plan on hitting all the DVC properties (except GF, which we don't care for)... Poly was wonderful, since the rooms were big. I think you owe it to yourselves to do a 1 bedroom at AKL once - we did it and it was pure luxury - it was what actually got us to buy DVC. We are doing AKL in September, it is our second favorite after BLT... BLT always feels like home for us. I'm just finishing editing our December trip there and getting sad that the editing is over, but we are back next month to OKW which we've never stayed at before. Renting is usually the better option for most people, especially those who don't live in the US - flexibility is key!

I’m really considering doing this next year! I am going this year for the free DDP but my sister is planning next year so wanted to go for a week with her and my niece and nephew! They will be no doubt planning a 2/3 week trip so this could work out quite cheap for me as a solo traveller and staying on property :) glad it seems like an easy process to do from the UK too!

Thanks so much for watching. In the past we have used the official Disney website, we've also used Hotels.com and other third party sites to book. However, now we focus on DVC rental as it works out cheaper. Unless its a resort that is not DVC and therefore we can't do DVC rental :)
