LRF Fishing: Two Topknot at Exmouth

STILL ONE OF MY BEST SESSION EVER! Not only did I sight fish my first ever Topknot. But I caught a second only a few minutes later! Had a ton of Scorps, Blennies and Wrasse but they didn't come close to the two Topknots!!!

Devon cliffs? I'll be honest. I must have fished 50 or more sessions there and only ever seen the two. But if you get one it'll be a real trophy catch. Such a cool fish.

brilliant session, thanks Dan. I so want to catch a Topknot, they are, allegedly, in Portsmouth harbour, my closest venue. Must have a serious try for them.

Thanks Alan. Still one of my favourite to date. Wasn't even going to fish that day because I had bust my knee a Brixham. Glad I did though. Not seen one since.

Amazing aren't they. I don't think they are as rare as they seem. I just don't think they get caught too easily. I fish with Lucas and he regularly catches them. He'll walk along harbour walls at night, spot them and catch them.

Tench are on my hitlist for this year. Back is OK. Still broken but finally have the right pain relief. Will know more once I see the spinal unit
