Nice one mate, really enjoyed that. Not sure about the dodgy bloke who turned up near the end though 🤣

Good session and the tide was fair ripping in...
@TedGreenBeachFishing5 жыл бұрын
Robert Mortimore thanks. Yes the tide is strong especially on a spring but over slack on a high or neap tides are what I like to LRF on. 👍

Just great, I'm new to LRF fishing though I've done fair bit ultralight freshwater fishing. Subscribing was easy decision :-)
@TedGreenBeachFishing5 жыл бұрын
Feral Grandad thanks, I sometimes LRF at my local canal for Perch, Jacks etc. too, and general use the same set up when LRF from the shore. For me I find pink coloured lures work well for both fresh and saltwater. 👍

Great videos and many thanks for sharing them. I live in Exmouth and never knew you could catch Coalfish there. Can you let me know what lures you were using as I can not find the pink lures shown in the vid. Cheers
@TedGreenBeachFishing4 жыл бұрын
Robert Paterson Thanks. I was using the Savage gear LRF mini sandeel kit, as they have a selection of various colours including white and pink, they sell them at Exeter angling but you can get the online from amazon, veals etc. Also the majorcraft paraworm in 1.5 inch work really well too. The Coalfish turn up over the winter but the conditions have been so bad for LRF at Exmouth this winter as you need the clear, calm water. Cheers.

@@TedGreenBeachFishing OK thanks for your reply and hopefully will catch up by the slipway one day. Cheers and keep up the great vids.

Enjoying your vids. Haven't done LRF but use lures on the river. Is it harder in winter?
@TedGreenBeachFishing5 жыл бұрын
SheppeyFishTales thanks, I wouldn't say it is harder in the winter around my local LRF spot's as we get a few different species showing up like, Coalfish and Herring and there's still plenty of Wrasse, Bass, Pollock, Garfish, Flounder and mini species to catch all on the LRF rod, the hardest part for winter LRF for me is when we get strong winds and torrential rain as it turns the water brown and makes the fishing a lot tougher. 👍

@@TedGreenBeachFishing Nice. Looks like good fun. I'm in Somerset so not to far away. Not sure there's much lrf around here!
@TedGreenBeachFishing5 жыл бұрын
SheppeyFishTales I've not fished it myself but Ilfracombe harbour is a good LRF spot, for me on the south Devon coast it's Plymouth, Brixham, Teignmouth, Exmouth and Budleigh fishing from the harbour walls, breakwaters, rock pool's or from the beach when we have clear and calm seas.

18:19 can tell the difference between what? ha
@TedGreenBeachFishing5 жыл бұрын
Ben Add The difference between catching a Coalfish compared to the Pollack, is that they but up a better scrap and will keep fighting. Whilst the Pollack give it a bit when first hooked then slacken off till there closer to surface, depends on the size of the fish but you know when you've got a Coalfish on compared to a Pollack. 👍

@@TedGreenBeachFishing Coalies are my favourite to catch. Great fun when they get bigger. Get some nice jacks around Oban.

@TedGreenBeachFishing4 жыл бұрын
Supreme Leader101 No mate, they are a bit of a rarity around here but I'll eat the Pollack if they're big enough.
