I thought I was a goddamn genius for figuring out that the developer wasn't just an idiot... They just didn't think that any other gamers out there might be using the standard and most common keyboard layout to play their game.

Yes, imagine having to change your keyboard language every time you want to play a game. Like, it's still bad design, but it's what everybody outside of QWERTY needs to deal with regularly. Alt+shift is a great work around, though

Like the fact it assumes that you're on AZERTY is so fucking stupid. I would have thought it would at least had presets for each of the layouts?? Also, speaking as someone who doesn't code, I would have thought there'd be a way to read your system settings and grab your keyboard layout from there? Maybe I'm wrong.

i recently tried to look into what postmodernism is and i came out of it understanding less than i did before hand and came to the conclusion it means basically nothing as everything described as postmodernism seems to simultaneously both fit into some other category and violate one or more of the alleged core tenents of post modernism

By asking whether art needs to, or should, be critiqued at all. At least, I think that's the postmodernist viewpoint.

You critique it not on whether it's art or not, but on what it is saying or trying to say, and the extent to which is succeeds at that.

@@Paranundrox Honestly I agree with that, but what if you follow the death of the author idea. In that case authorial intent doesn't matter. So it wouldn't really matter what it's trying to say and thus you couldn't rate it's success in that way.

@@user-oh8vh3yi1p And that's cool and all, art can exist for it's own sake. But lets say you have an art gallery and want to do a postmodern art exhibit. You can't just put everything in, you have to pare down the list. And I'm assuming you'd want to but the "best" pieces on display. You would need some way to decide which ones are the best.

@@EricOrang by examining what the author wanted to say and what the piece says you critique not the art piece itself, but the artists ability to convey a message. You critique an art piece by examining what it says, what feelings it evokes, etc. Also if you want a definition of art there is a very simple one. Art is everything that's not exclusively utilitarian. A spear isn't art. But if you carve a pattern on the handle, it's art, because that wasn't necessary. Anything that isn't necessary is art basically. A building isn't art. But star painting it and decorating it and it becomes art

I think it's not usable because it was used via escape and cards that are cast with the escape mechanic (so from the graveyard) can't be used as long as the dog is there

Yeah. The dog has an effect that stops players casting spells from the graveyard and sleep of the dead can and was cast from the graveyard. Though wouldn't that mean it could still be cast on the dog from hand, so it's not that bad? Still odd that the art depicts a creature that specifically blocks half of its usability though.
