How are you? I watch your video on how to replace a door blend actuator on a ford f150, thanks for posting it, it helped me a lot. I have a question and here it is, why does the actuator keeps breaking? I've replaced it 5 times in the past 2 years. Any idea?

Hi Guys. Great Video. Gonna be doing a cam swap in my crate LS2 this year. Got to ask...why is that cam called a sloppy stage 2?? Heard that phrase a lot , but can't seem to find an explanation..Cheers 👍🇬🇧
@teabag402 Жыл бұрын
It's just the name of the cam, just marketing.
@TheDuck86792 жыл бұрын
Speaking of the old school tricks, do you not have to do a cam break-in on the ls at 2500 rpm for 20 minutes like the old sbc?
@Headied Жыл бұрын
This is only required with flat tappet cams/lifters. All LS engines use roller lifters. No need for break in.

Hey bo was wondering if I went with an stage 4 came for the 5.3 I was gunna throw in my Sonoma would I have to get and high stall torque converter and get the engine tuned ?
@teabag402 Жыл бұрын
Any cam swap you need a tune and yes you need a converter. Watch Richard Holdners channel he breaks down which cams are best for which motor, sloppy stage 2 is even a little "too big" on a 5.3 so a stage 4 would be way over kill
@kingchief806211 ай бұрын
Probably a crazy question. But is it ok to use the stock springs ?
@wob677610 ай бұрын
Probably not, and either way a cam like this will require the valvetrain being looked at every 2 years or 25k miles. Not to mention you'll probably be leaving power on the table. So might as well bite the bullet and get some pac 1218s or 1219s.

Bro can i put the same cam on a lq4 with stock pushrods and springs?
@teabag402 Жыл бұрын
It depends how much lift the stock spring allows vs how much lift the cam that's going in has. Say the cam is a 595 lift and the springs are a 550 lift then no, u need springs. Say the cam is a 550 lift and the springs are 595 lift yes. Make sense?

@@BoBuilds was messing with ya. Just finished my lq4 , 243 heads, ss2 cam, I turned motor over for a few seconds without coils hooked and the new melling pump ( i greased the impeller tho) picked up oil almost instantly. I'm old school, I still soak lifters tho, habit hard to break when I been doin it same way for years. Supposed to pull the plug on side of the block and fill with oil but I couldnt easily get to mine with motor in and just spun it a bit and all good. This 6l is an animal , love the ss2 cam, sounds mean and about 3k it REALLY shines!
