I just started getting into these G body Malibu's, & yours is really sweet; I also like how you employed the kiss method on the build. I'm looking mostly for a 4 door that I would keep mostly stock, & use it as daily driver, & long trips as well. I'm retired so I don't do any daily driving anymore, & like your tag reads to many cars 8 to be exact, & they are all Chevrolet's. I also want to get a 65 or 67 Monza sport sedan, But I'll have sell 4 of my current vehicles to thin the heard out; Plus 1 more that I want to hold onto a little longer. curious if you have a part number for that top street performance oil pan you were talking about, concerned mine might be a problem as i lowered 2" and will likely sit about 2-3" below the crossmember as your muscle car pan does

TSP 81073 oil pan. Check the instructions on the site you get it from. you have to get a different dipstick as well. In my video for my 57 truck, I cover it.

I’m looking to do an almost same 5.3 swap on my 1980 Cutlass 4 door. This series has been incredibly helpful, and the most professionally made videos on the subject. How much did your setup run you in total going the route you did?

Really glad to hear it's going to help you. I tried to show everything I could think of. As for cost, it can vary so much from area to area, so I don't usually like to open that can of worms. Where I am in, used engines aren't that common. I paid a premium because I bought it running and ready to install. Did you check out the swap I did on my '57 truck? Same idea, just a little different approach on a few things.

It's a summit cam, I can't remember the number maybe 804?? It's slightly more aggressive then stock and I would just stay stock if doing again.

Have you done a 5,3 LS swap on a Chrysler? I have a Chrysler 1987 5th avenue. Rear oil sump sits right on the steering linkage. I'm looking for a low profile sump and will probably notch the k frame. Just wondering if youve done something similar.

I have not. I don't have much experience with Chrysler/Mopar stuff. My mom had a 5th avenue when I was a kid. Had crazy amazing seats. Good luck on the project!

Thanks! Check out my other videos on this car, I cover the whole build. It's 2 1/2" with an X pipe, resonators and magnaflow mufflers. I took it on a 10000km road trip and it was not annoying at all. Had to do the resonators though.

@Cutlass Vibes right under the driver and passenger seat. Then about 3 inches and straight to the mufflers.
