I had the same issue. I bought the GM Hot Rod oil pan (Hummer H3 Alpha) because everyone said it wouldn't require me to cut the crossmember and that it would go right in...and it didn't. Youy can also try welding a washer to the broken bolt and then weld a nut to that. That seems to work some of the time. I also found that using truck accessories, I had to sink the radiator into the core support for enough clearance for electric fans.

For that broken header bolt, try bolting up the header, find a roll pin that fits in the hole in the header flange, tap it in and you have a nice hardened drill guide. Did this with some 5.4 ford heads, worked well

On my LS, I had a couple broken exhaust bolts as well. It's what they do. haha. What I did was skipped the washer/nut trick and on each broken bolt I stacked a few quick, but high heat tacks. The heat will help loosen it up and once you get the tacks built up enough, a pair of vice grips on the tacks is all you need. Only had 1 that I had to give a second try.

The next time you have a broken stud Weld a washer to the broken stud first then weld a nut to the stud and the washer it works way better than just a nut
