The fact is they are providing us of quality content... FOR FREE. Why would someone bash on them? Unless they were doing something that could hurt others, let them be happy and I hope they keep sharing for years to come! I've been subscribed since the beginning, and I can not name ONE car they own, that I wouldn't change something. But that's the point, it's their cars, and we're just along for the ride!!! ​@@collinw9381 Yeah the Lotus will most certainly wipe the floor with this unless they go full time attack spec but I doubt they would as they seem to be more about projects that the audience could theoretically follow along with. I still have my fingers crossed that they will delve into all that one day. Even tracking the cars was a welcome surprise when they first started with that. The E30 is the type of car you'd turn into a race car, it's small, it's stiff, it's a really good platform for a total transformation.

If you haven't considered it, or couldn't readily find one, install a tower brace. This transplant has upset the weight distribution and with the previous rust damage shown, who knows what's up in the sandwich. If you can't find one, make one, Marty could probably whip one up in a jiffy.

One of the few things you can't crap on is the original throttle pedal, hinged from the floor which was always much nicer feeling than regular ones. It's simply from an era where it was cable driven, it still did the same job and honestly has a bit less delay than early throttle by wire cars like the 350Z I've got now. There is a weird pause before everything works that's almost worse than old cable throttle cars. Even my 2018 WRX was weirdly delayed, and the position of the throttle was AWFULLY imbalanced, most of the throttle is in the first half of the pedal so it feels quicker than it is, and then you floor it and there's barely anything left. It makes you drive too hard always. Anyway, was the luckiest person in my hemisphere with the timing I bought the 350 used (with only 28k miles!) for 10 grand and got every penny I paid for the wrx brand new in a used sale bc of the insane car market in covid. No more car payments and I'm back in a coupe which is just more my style, almost all my cars have been 2 door. One of which was a 325i of the same generation as this channel. That was my favorite but gd it was a money pit and even the dealer took a month to find parts while I drove a manual Ford Ranger around town with no 3rd gear. It was still really fun though, that small truck. Also had a 93 prelude with full H22 (200hp), LSD, and short ratio gearbox. That was def my 2nd favorite if not actually outranking the bimmer. It could be driven right up to the edge every day, all the way up to 225K miles it was v-tech'd and turned hard enough to make the tires scream in protest. I had a '96 240SX as well but it was auto so it wasn't so much of a blast. You could however do standing burnout in the thing just by mashing both pedals from a stop. But the trans was making noises before I traded a friend for the prelude. Also I must say. Sunroofs are better than moon roofs. The one in the bimmer is particularly great. It's crank operated and just a blast to open and close. The prelude's was also JUST a sunroof and I liked the option, plus my windows are always down too. Why would anyone want glass up there? It's heavy, you'll just get sun in your eyes and you can't see stars anymore in cities. The moon is in a position to be visible in it like 1 day a month and you won't be driving at that time. And a dumb note for Subaru. A "sunroof delete" is not an option to sell a performance (base) model. It's a lack of an option. Sure, point out the weight savings, but don't call it something it isn't. They didn't cut a sunroof hole and fill it back in. It's a LACK of sunroof. Wandering aimlessly rant over.

Meh. R30, R31, R32, R33, R34. The "R35" is just a fancy way of saying 'Here you go Americans. Here is your overweight "Skyline". When in reality its just a Infiniti G35 with a refreshed body and engine. Not saying it's a bad car, but do a Skyline properly. It doesn't even have to be an R spec. 4-door twin turbo would look killer!

Hello guys, I'm enjoying the project as I owned a e30 325i convertible a couple of years back, I thought I could give you a couple of points on this project, these cars are rear end happy due to being light, a LSD would be a nice upgrade, also I have broke a hand brake in half so a reinforced one could be needed. On the original engine the sumps sit low especially when you lower the car so don't know what your clearance is like with the ls lump is (I've smashed mine) and on a side note we use to put bags of sand or cement in the boot (in the UK) to stop them spinning out so much lol, good luck on the project guys.
