Hate all you want on GM products, but the LS series of engines is one of the best bang for the buck, reliable, big power potential engines known. The E30 speaks for itself. How BMW went from the E30 to the garbage they sell now is beyond me 🙄 Would love to see more on this particular build. Just amazing, and is something most people can do themselves. Kits are sold all over the world to do this to an E30. Keep up the good work guys👍😎

Thanks lads! This project was the reason I decided to actively look for an LS for my own BMW, an E36. It was always the end-goal of my Bimmer to put an LS in it, and when I watched this project I realised the money I had saved up to paint the car would be enough to get an LS1 where I live... I also realised I should either find an LS1 now, or they'll become too expensive to ever do it. I found a motor at the start of the year, snapped the same oil pump bolt as you, Moog, but am currently waiting for motormounts to arrive in the mail from the United States of Awesome! :D (And I'm sure people here in the comments will think "oh how boring another LS E36"... Would it have been cool to see them do a turbocharged bimmer L6? Yeah of course. Is the LS the more practical and logical choice? Absolutely (And I'm saying this as a very big BMW fan). If they went with say an N54/N55 or b58 then it would have to be more episodes. This e30 revamp series is supposed to be a good filler until super gramps is figured out; so not a slew of videos like the civic build they just finished. I totally agree with keeping it LS swapped.
