It's a 6.0 LS .30 over with summit pro ls pistons and rods ms3 cam 4l80e transmission with a circle D 36-38 stall

I’m doing a similar build, 6.0 ly6 based, forged bottom end, flat top pistons with ls3 top end still need to spec cam. 4l80 with converter as well

​​@@Tacticoolpapi idk why people go ls when there are solid options on the Ford side that dont cost much if any more all in. I'm not talking about just the engine the entire swap. Everyone always gets sold on this whole ls is cheaper bs but in a mod motor car you'd have a hard time convincing me you could swap a 6 liter for much if any cheaper than a coyote. A coyote is basically a direct drop in and you can even use the original trans if it's a 5 speed. If you're making more than stock power or turning real high rpm you can build your 5 speed for like 1000 bucks. It's not nearly as expensive as people make it out to be. A basic coyote swap will do 400+ to the wheels and potential for alot more with just a power adder completely stock long block. In the end I just don't think people are saving nearly as much as they think they are when it's all said and done. So tired of the ls swap mustang trend.

My guess is that the LS engines are cheaper than the coyote that why. You can get 5.3 LS engines from $400 to $600...I don't you can get a coyote engine that cheap.

I have a L59 5.3 motor & trans in a running 2002 Silverado donor truck. would this swap work? I have a 03 mustang.

Getting ready to do a 5.3/4L60E into my 2002 V6. From what I've read the V8 cross member makes it easier but not necessary, you can hook up the auto shifter from the Mustang to the 4L60E it just takes some work and from what I read F body manifolds should clear.
