After multiple timing chain failures, piston ring failures, oil gusset gasket behind the chains, 3 engines in 112,000 miles total. This could very well be the solution to my problem.

Ha why my 2000 xterra has 200k miles on it and only issue was a failed distributor once.

You probably have a lemon 2005 or something The 2011's and up are fairly problem free

I have a 2007 2nd gen off road with a 6speed manual and I’m on my 3rd motor too. But I have just been putting in the same 4.0L VQ40. Did you have issues with VK56 titan motor as well? Is that why you got the LS now? Just because if I toast another motor I was gonna try and find a vk56. But not if it’s going to be the same problems.
