@Dave Iaucco because when you dont have a bunch of money you buy the engine that works with what you have, not spend thousands of dollars on a whole new set up. And it was a project truck to learn mechanics with my daughter, not to make ass loads of power.

Typically body on frame vehicles don't need the engine bay fender well. The fender can be part of it because it's not structural unlike a unibody car

if you don't wanna invest in a oil bucket of sumthing i myself just cut open a empty oil can its a 5 ltr or sumthing and if you just cut a square in the side you also have a tip to pour it away

GM didn’t change much throughout the years, so odds are for the power steering hoses you can use either OEM S10 lines or OEM Silverado lines, depending on what fittings thread into the pump and box. I know on C10 swaps I end up using the lines from the donor Silverado, would assume S10 wouldn’t be much different. Also, Dirty Dingo makes relocation kits if you need to relocate your power steering pump up higher

I believe you’ll be able to use the ls2 oil pan, pick up tub and baffle plate. It’s off the f-body cars it’s shallow so you might not have to cut into the subframe
