I'm glad you decided against taking your life. I've been following you for about 8 years now, and to see you grow within the league community through the years is amazing. I can't think of anyone else that deserves it more. I think you have helped a good portion of the league community see the game in a different light. From your old coaching videos, to your patch run downs, or your analysis on pro games. It's obvious that you are totally committed to putting out the best analytical League content that you possibly can. I can't even begin to count how many of my friends I've recommended watch your videos if they are serious about getting better. So, from one member of the community to another, thank you for everything you have done over the years and continue to do for us.

The segment at 1:55 was super fascinating. Hearing how LS's brain approaches and solves problems is the same way that engineers and scientists are taught to solve problems. Seriously think LS is a genius who chose to devote that to game strategy. Pretty cool to see this put into perspective like this for the first time. Great video!

Yes! As an aspiring scientist and psychologist that's one of the things about LS that fascinates me the most, he got such a scientific approach about league that i can imagine him writing articles about league theory crafting. He's one of the few people (him, reckful and dr. K) that i want to meet when i'm sucessful if it happens. LS's story, viewpoint in life and even the keratoconus is so relatable that makes me want to thank him for being alive and for holding on for so long in person, something that i regret not being able to do with Reckful. Sorry for going on a tangent lol.

I'm really glad you mentioned G2 vs FNC 2020 Spring Finals when asked about best series over all, I actually often go back and watch those games to see how insanely hard it is to play when you can't draft against a team who can draft something strong. Ornn, Jarvan, Azir, Kog'maw Lulu The draft had everything. Kog'maw melts tanks and squishies alike while surrounded by teammates who can protect him from basically anything, as well as very strong engages from Ornn, Jarvan and Azir which shuts down the poke comp potential as a counter to Kog/Lulu Honestly, pro play would be a thing of beauty if only teams drafted like that more often

The way that LS describes how he approaches figuring out the optimal way to approach game states etc. is very reminiscent of how a scientist/engineer would approach a problem. You come up with an initial idea or "best guess", then you try it out, you get feedback from your attempt, and then you use that feedback to improve your approach. Then you can keep repeating this process until you are happy with the results. So many people make the mistake of thinking that they can come up with solutions to problems first time, and it is so ingrained into western culture that "being wrong is bad" that people are scared to admit that they won't know the answer the first time around. When trying to solve a problem, you need to assume that you are wrong. Only after testing your assumptions will you likely find that there are problems, or things that you hadn't thought of initially, and that is why adapting to feedback is so important. Thank you LS for making this video

@vktesla2 жыл бұрын
One response to the dragon sequence question itnerested me. The comment was "the idea that you could go onstage and drop of a hat everything changes.. i mean its stupid". This seems like a fine take, but seems ENTIRELY countered by the earlier video in which you stated there should be a revolving metagame that cycles almost biweekly. That would suggest you are also going onstage, and likely weren't able to practice that comp (the comp/counters in its entirety could change the gameplay patterns completely) during the week most likely, which would mean everything changes...but that isn't stupid. I see these two ideas as two sides of a coin, I'm surprised by the response here.
@devilix1239872 жыл бұрын
I think the difference between these two takes is: -You'd only find out about Drakes when you go on stage, whereas, teams would have time to prepare for a revolving metagame cycle (assuming I am understanding what you are talking about) -Drakes don't necessarily sequence the way you expect within the game (you don't know when drakes will be taken, nor which team will take them - or even if you will make it to soul before the game ends), but a revolving metagame cycle will always have a concrete effect on the games and how you approach them.

I mean, he did say in the video that it's almost a waste of time to go into depth because it's a lot less likely that anyone will pick up the champion, due to the difference in overall difficulty (compared the example of - Nasus). Plus, it's not like there aren't plenty of at least, baseline sources out there on Fiddlesticks already, unlike the support Nasus strategy.

@@VVaypoint Sure, but again, what's the point when there are plenty of Fiddle guides already? It's not some unique strategy or anything. I know some content creators might create more guides and stuff, but LS clearly isn't interested in doing that kind of thing unless there is some value to it - and mainly aimed at proplay, and that value just isn't there. Regarding, "coming up with Karthus jungle", hasn't that pick been a thing since at least S3? (that's when I started playing). idk, to me it was always a known thing, that just became popular in pro play because of buffs or quasi-buffs in S9. But it was definitely played in pro before Malice, and not just by Shrimp. I'm not saying Malice didn't help "discover" it again for pro play, but I just think that the wording "came up with" is unfitting, because Karthus jungle was always a known thing to anyone who had played the game a decent amount, and not really that unusual. Like, there's literally an old-school League KZbin song from 2012(!) about jungle Karthus, and here's Saintvicious (one of the guys somewhat known for it back in the day) playing jungle Karthus competitively in 2014: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ennIZ5KPbbiYedk&ab_channel=OPLOLReplay (2014 is before most stats sites recorded stats, so it would make sense that the guy asking the question missed this. There are also soloq VODs of Saint playing it in 2013)
