I’ve got that helmet and it’s high in quality and comfort. You forgot to mention it has reflective properties for riding at night.

What a lot of folk don’t know is that Shark helmet’s produced ‘the Evo Line GT’ which is very expensive but brilliant, So LS2 copied this and sold it as the Valiant, knowing full well the Shark would start a law suit against them, but clever LS2 were working on a slightly different way on their locking system so as to not continue to break Sharks patent, they immediately introduced this and settled out of court with Shark but by this time they had made thousands of dollars and were totally happy, got this info from the main UK importer so immediately bought one 2 years ago, brilliant and one of the best helmets around, I have a ARAI Corsair RR, a Shoei Spirit 2 Abi rep, and a Shoei Neo Tec flip up ( same as the Police use here in the UK) yet the LS2 Valliant is by far the better helmet, it’s only minor fault is that it tends to ‘mist up’ in cold weather and it’s heavier than my others, not a concern when riding a BMW 1200 RT. Love it.

Just bought the Matt Titanium one of these. Had flip lids in the past but like the look of this, also I have a large melon so anything to stop me looking like a NASA reject is welcomed in my book lol. Thanks for the video, bolstered my choice and can't wait for it to get here in a couple of days.

Oops, forgot to mention that LS2 produce their own Bluetooth headset which fits into the Bezel part of the hinge mechanism and is said to be excellent, easy to fit and works with Garmin and TomTom sat Navs, and IOS and Android smartphones, hope this helps you guys.👍😃

Does this mean other communication devices won't work with this helmet? For example a cardo packtalk edge

@Shankintime I would assume that any other Bluetooth device will work ok, it’s just if you look closely at the hinge mechanism on the outside just about were your ears would be, there’s a circular plastic disc, that gets removed (just pops out) and LS2’s Bluetooth unit fits neatly in there and is hardly noticeable, ear pads and Mike are easy to fit inside, I have a Sena unit on my Shoei flip up helmet BUT it fits on the outside and looks ugly in comparison to the LS2 unit which BTW I haven’t purchased yet but had a demo at the UK importer,

From the videos I've watched, the only issue with this helmet seems to be weight. With your neck problems, did you notice any issue with weight of the helmet riding for hours on end? Appreciate your response.

@pharysibnmalti330: I also have this helmet and what about the noise...?? You say it's noisy but you don't mention what kind of bike you ride. Naked, adventure or a big Goldwing, it all makes quite a difference. A Schuberth C5 isn't as quiet as people think but in free wind it's quit. Put some turbulence at it because of a (small) windscreen and you hear the buffeting....😉

The biggest put-off in a helmet like this is that they are now way too many moving parts to break. These are a long way from the simple full-face helmet that would easily survive a few years of (ab)use. Will the complicated gear cogs on the chin hinges survive the common waist height accidental drop?

I would be interested in a comprehensive test of a bunch of helmets for the same reason. That being said, I've never dropped my helmet. Maybe I have a mild case of OCD, but being cognizant of how you carry stuff (especially a bunch of different items) and where you set them down saves money. Might have come from the "trauma" of having my mom crush a toy I left in the middle of the living room floor when I was 3 or 4 😀.

Bonjour à tous perso de deconseil cette marque et surtout ce casque à 70kmh à peine sa sigle à cause du vent et il est impossible d'entendre son interlocuteur au téléphone et pire que ca lorsque il pleut de l'eau s'infiltre par la visière une honte trop cher pour de la mauvaise qualité a fuir comme la mort de la merde
