You should not adopt a wolf like in the video. Domestication is bred into dogs over generations; there was an experiment done where researchers put a bowl of food slightly out of reach of a group of puppies and wolf pups. After attempting to get the food a few times, the puppies began intermittently glancing at the researchers in the room, basically asking for help. The wolf pups did not glance at the researchers once, and instead kept attempting to get the food on their own. If you are not an extremely experienced trainer, a wolf will be far far more likely to seriously injure you or another person than a dog. A wolf can’t be domesticated. That’s not how that works. You can’t tame a wolf either. You can’t neuter a wolf, nor can you feed it dog food. A wolf needs to hunt, a wolf needs to mate, a wolf needs to start its own pack. Wolves don’t belong in a persons house. It’s ok to care for a wolf while it’s a cub, but you need to find it a good reservation where it will be safe, and cared for.

Wolves are not legal to own in most places. Wolf-dogs have very strong regulations around ownership, and the only legal way to "own" a wolf, most of the time, is to own a wildlife or wolf sanctuary/zoo/etc. This is mainly bc wolves, unlike dogs, are not tamed and will always have feral tendencies. Wolves are very loyal creatures, but they will never view people as a part of their "pack", therefore, you're never 100% safe with them. Even if the wolf is raised directly with you, there are wolf behaviors you must be aware of at all times. That's why most people struggle greatly with wolf-dogs, which vary on wolf percentage and behavioral differences. Owning a wolf is very, very difficult and strongly discouraged.

They are often produced by back yard breeders and their behavior can vary drastically depending on how much wolf there is in them. They can be fearful of humans, have a high prey drive, high energy, be territorial and destructive, extremely independent and escape all the time. It’s also not recommended to have a dog like this in a house or apartment, they need an enclosure outside. And I don’t know if it is legal to those dogs where you live because it depends but in my country it is only legal after the 5th generation of breeding it with other wolf dogs or normal dogs and not a real wolf.

Omg im glad u found him an saved him. I had 2 scrap a frozen kitten off the sidewalk i felt he was breathing so i ran home with him an slowly warmed him up. He is the sweetest cat he turns 16 years old this week june 5th
